Game 9 - UNH
Congratulations. I'm a bit surprised Evans wasn't voted Special Teams Player of the Week. I figured Burdick must've had some ST tackles but he only had one.
Players of the Week for New Hampshire game!
Offense - LG Connor Hilland
Defense - LB Nate Atkins
Special Teams - WR Zach Burdick

Burdick also downed the punt at the 1 yard line.

When I rewatched the game on a Sunday morning, Burdick really stood out as did Evans with his two nice returns. Burdick's highlight was the downing of the punt at the goal line. If you remember earlier in the year, another Special Teamer had a similar opportunity, but allowed the ball to get by him. It appears the coaches went over that scenario and coached the boys up so they wouldn't make the same mistake twice! Huge play that can go unnoticed by many.
On another special teams note, Hooper is crushing the ball with every strike. His accuracy is off just a little, which is causing an unacceptable success rate. I noticed in my film review that he is pulling his head and chest up causing him to pull the ball, similar to a golfer. I feel like this is easily correctable and as fans we should give him some time to make adjustments.

Yeah he's absolutely smoking the ball. I'd love to turn his leg into a weapon rather than a liability.

If his kicking game is anything like my golf game, just when I decide to play the pull, I keep my head down and hit the dreaded straight ball... I hope that he's better at making adjustments than I am!

Our freshman punter appears to have stabilized and is doing a decent job.
