So you're ok with this?

""Did you know there are billions of dollars worth of unclaimed inheritances in the United States? You can search online and Google “unclaimed inheritances”; and you will find that there are unclaimed properties, assets and inheritances because the heirs can’t be found. There are people who have received inheritances, and they don’t even know it!

You have received an inheritance from Jesus that you need to claim! You have a will — His Will, His Word — that discloses and unveils your inheritance."

Then this tripe..

"God wants to make you great and multiply what you have just like He did for Abraham."

"God can bless you with things that you don’t even have to work for. Deuteronomy 6:11 says that He will give you houses that you did not build, wells that you did not dig, and vineyards that you did not plant.?"

"God will enlarge you and make your name great just as he did for Abraham.""

Number one, I don't think either one of those says that God is going to buy you a BMW. They are both metaphorical examples.

Number two, think for a minute about how inspirational those words can be to someone who feels that he or she has just lost it all through divorce or addiction or illness or injury. Those are the people that I have seen him help.

It's not for me. I need some theology and some spirituality from my religion. But I see how he helps people. And while that is more motivational speaker than pastor, I will cut him some slack because I have seen him help so many people.

So then are you in the camp that believes that words can motivate people to do extraordinary things?

Not what he said... He said words can comfort people and he's right there. My problem with Osteen is that he's a motivation speak who puts forth crap theology and dilutes the presentation of the Christian Gospel.

Drop the pretense, be a 100% motivational speaker and leave the gospel alone.

"Let God's curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you"

Inspiration is not salvation through the gospel. Lots of people can have an inspirational religious experience and NEVER get saved or understand what salvation and the Gospel is. That is one of the MAJOR issues with Osteen and other prosperity ministers.

Its hard to really understand that if you haven't seriously studied the bible.
