A wonderful, really feel-good victory. Congrats to the team for great effort...Anderson out of this world and Cluley really showed grit. And the defense was solid.

42 carries and 219 yards are both career highs for Anderson.
28 unanswered points...great coaching!

A bit under 10k in attendance, but our overall average for the year is above 10k, which is a pretty solid improvement from last year.

1st TD to Caskin was the "look one way go the other" red zone call we've been missing all year. Richmond was very aggressive after the play, and the unsportsmanlike conducts caught up with them. We really started rolling after 29 was ejected. Both QB hit plays changed the game; one knocked their QB out and the other ended with #29 out and a free first down.
Great game by Anderson, great perseverance by the Tribe, and great to finally beat Richmond.

Lauletta never got hit, was hurt sliding on his own, so, UR fans can't put that unfortunate incident on us...Hate to ever see a player's season end that way.

Great way to end the year. Anderson could not be stopped, and Cluley played well and showed how tough he is. For me, the win over UR salvages the season, it got really old losing to them. Rocco sure was an ass when he paraded all over the field, he was missing a QB because his other QB was emulating Bill Clinton. Great to see the OL just wear their defense out as the game wore on. The losing streak has ended!!

Cluley, 1st quarter: 2-5, 13 yards
2nd quarter: 6-8, 71 yards
3rd quarter: 7-10, 78 yards, TD
4th quarter: 2-3, 28 yards, TD
That's against one of the top defenses against the pass. It's also with what looked like a bad injury to his non-throwing shouider that probably made throwing downfield difficult.

His hand was not the main anatomical part involved.

OL #66 for UR was a complete jack a*** at the end of the game . He took cheap shots to anybody wearing green on their tun out the clock possession then, hauled his loser self to the locker room as soon as the game ended. Real classy. The rest of the spiders were much more better in defeat .
It is sad their QB tore up his knee and will miss the playoffs. I wish The Spiders best of luck.
The Culey 2 point conversion might be the highlight film play of the year . Kendall's game is one that will go down in history !
Thanks Seniors and best wishes for your future !

Anderson's 42 rushing carries a new W&M record, topping Grimes' 39 in his game against Richmond.
Anderson also became the fifth Tribe player to top 3000 rushing yards and his 34 TDs are fifth all-time.

Man...what a game! NOTHING sweeter than putting a beat down on those pompous arachnids from Richmond. I liked it a lot better when I was a student in the late 80's, early 90's when we routinely beat their ass. We owed them this one for all those losses over this past decade or so. What a way for Kendall and the rest of the seniors to go out on such a high note. Richmond losing the bye week is just a bonus!

We lose several key players on offense and a few on defense for 2017. I like a few of our younger guys filling their shoes but we need some other guys to step up, especially for depth. I'm particularly curious about how our OL will play next season.

It's always nice to beat Richmond, although I generally like them when they play other teams, unlike my feelings for JMU...
I thought our play calls were better than they had been. Both teams looked pretty beat up to me from the beginning. I'm sorry the Arachnids lost their QB for the playoffs. Rocco showed his butt big time with his hysterics.
My brother, who posted on the UR site that he was going to enjoy irritating me and his W&M bride was a very good host after the game.

Once again UNH gets into the FCS post season with a 7-4 record and got a home game as did Nova. Good luck to our fellow CAA members

It is a bit of a shame that the best two CAA entries into the Playoffs are both going in with inexperienced QB's.
While not everyone here roots for CAA teams in general, just W&M, I'm a believer that William & Mary benefits from the CAA doing well nationally, so this is a bit of a tough break for the league.

Schor will be back for JMU. Was evidently close for Elon game, but wasn't needed. Go CAA!!!
