Cubs already took the sloppy seconds by being the 2nd one to win the world series. That is kind of white sox territory, that the cubs are now familiar with after those sloppy seconds

I know you are but what am I? I'm paper you're glue...

This is great. So your response to the White Sox hiring in house a fired Cubs manager is about a World Series victory that happened 11 years ago? A World Series that national media has forgotten about mind you...... This is what a 14 year old would say when he has no other intelligent argument. Glad you agree!
Everything about the Sox has seemed rather minor league lately. Hiring Ricky, Grate Field, low attendance (I guess that last one isn't really lately). They should bring back disco demolition. Best of both worlds for Sox fans: Fill up Grate and cancel a game!

i'm not getting involved in these childish games between you and madddawgz...but lets not forget history here. I can't tell you how much i f'in dislike the who 'whose d*** is bigger' banter

But, if you want to have intelligent talk about baseball history:
Ricky Renteria was well regarded by the Cubs and was only let go because the opportunity to hire Joe Maddon came up. Its not that he sucked, its that an unforeseen opportunity arose when Maddon's contract gave him an out from Tampa bay.

I liked Ricky, as I said in my post. I also rooted for the Sox during the 2005 World Series run. I'm a huge Cubs fan that had no real problem with the White Sox, but MD had been such an ass hat on this board towards the Cubs I feel he needs to eat crow.

RE: Chicago baseball
He already admitted the Cubs are better with his "Who won the last WS title?" question a little while back.

The answer to that is the Cubs, who are perfectly set up to go on a dynasty type run.

The Sox haven't made the playoffs in 8 years! That drought isn't ending soon.

The Cubs have won more playoff games since 2003 than the Sox have won in the past 99 years. With another deep run next year we'll be able to say the Cubs have won more playoff games since 2003 than the Sox have won in the their entire 116 year history!!!

I can go on and on, they completely lapped the Sox and are taking a huge dump on them as icing on the cake. I f'n love it.

Got to admit, the Sox are having a great off season. I knew they would get something good for Sale and they got a great group of young players. But for Adam Eaton? they got 3 more highly rated players!! That's crazy and a great move by Sox.
