Dude’s got a fire in his belly, and looks like he’s gonna light up the league soon. Almost seems a lock he will see action this year.

eff'n awesome

"-A fantastic sequence during the red-zone portion of the workout. First, Dwayne Haskins threw a strong pass to Cam Sims, who caught the ball. But within a second of Sims getting his hands on it, Jimmy Moreland, the JMU grad and undisputed offseason star, grabbed the ball and ripped it out of Sims' hands for an interception.

Moreland celebrated, Gruden yelled out, "That's No. 5!" to mark the number of times Moreland has intercepted Haskins this spring, and Gruden then yelled to the assembled scribes and podcasters, "All the reporters are writing down Jimmy Moreland!""

Lifetime Redskins fine (easy). Training camp about a mile from my office, and obviously have lost interest in attending in recent years. Am pumped to attend this year, JFM!

You know it’s great when Gruden is personally keeping count of Jimmy’s INTs.

Redskins Talk Live is on at 6pmET (NBC Sports Washington). Looking forward to today's show in hopes they'll feature JF'nM.

edit note: took them less than 10 minutes into the show to start talking about Jimmy

We should all be cheering for the R-words to be selected for Hark Knocks this season. If they are, there's a high chance they'll feature JFM. They love to feature rookies who are interesting stories, borderline to make the team, and give them good sound bites when mic'd up. JFM fits that mold perfectly.

I don’t usually watch those shows but I’d watch the **** out of a redskins one this offseason just because of jimmy.

"Five young players who’ve been making waves in minicamp"

And, guess who's #1!!!

Skins got a steal in the last round.

I like this comment from Birdswim 40:

Quote:Moreland is just another example of how teams try to find fault with a potential draftee. Was it the fact that he came from JMU? So did Gary Clark lol.

RE: Pro Dukes
Every day JFM shows how stupid every team was to not draft him.

I think he has a real chance to start this season for the Redskins. It may not be right away, but if he keeps the production up I don't see how he couldn't. Plus Gruden seems to like him a lot.

RE: Pro Dukes
Jets fan here curious about TE Daniel Brown, who was mentioned in an OTA article today: https://www.nj.com/jets/2019/06/jets-min...-camp.html

Quote:TE Daniel Brown: The Jets have already cut Jordan Leggett this offseason, and they know Chris Herndon is their top tight end. But what about complementary tight ends for Herndon? The Jets just drafted a blocking tight end, Trevon Wesco. And they still have Eric Tomlinson. But it’s possible Brown (who has played well in the spring) could wind up as the No. 2 tight end behind Herndon, and bump Tomlinson off the roster. Long way to go still, though.

Think he'll make the team?

He's been a contributor in the NFL for several seasons, and I think he still has a lot left in the tank. That said, it's the Jets, so who the heck knows.

Arthur Moats announces his retirement this morning. 9 years in the NFL. Well done, AM!

I truly hope he gets a job in the broadcast booth. I think he would be awesome at it. Put him in the booth with Tirico on Monday nights.

He can call JMU football games any time as far as I’m concerned. He has the personality to be a tv commentator and I hope he does become one.

Come on now, we can't afford Moats AND Buckhantz! 05-stirthepot

Seriously though, I think he would be great, but could land a bigger gig at a national network if he chooses to go that route.
