Jimmy F'in Moreland. The best there is. When you absolutely positively have got to cover every mother f'er on the field. Accept no substitute.

"He's aggravating," said quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who offered up the interception. "I'm glad he's on our team."

Knowing the way the Redskins operate, he might still get cut or put on Practice Squad.

Naaaah, we'll keep him. Move him to long snapper probably.

RE: Pro Dukes
JM's been getting a lot of love and he's backing it up early. I don't see him as a cut at this point. The DBs have seriously disappointed in DC (among others), so even sports writers close to the Redskins have been making the early "bold" prediction that he'll steal a roster spot. His willingness to work special teams will only help his cause. Apparently Gruden has also been talking him up to the media. Of course, he still has a long way to go to earn a spot yet.
He'll be a fan favorite - an underdog with a ton of personality - and also probably annoy quite a few with some PIs. As long as the picks continue, how can you keep him off the field? Kind of reminds me a bit of another FCS kid that made it big in the NFL that is also on the 'Skins...
It'd bee cool for the Redskins to get on Hard Knocks and get even more exposure for Jimmy.

I am optimistic about Jimmy's chances of making the 53-man roster. The Skins are loaded at corner with lots of competition, but other than the 2 projected starters, Josh Norman* and certainly Quinton Dunbar, the other 5 guys battling have a lot to prove to make the final roster. Jimmy being one of those. And, before I get too giddy, he is working right now against a rookie QB who is learning a new system and doesn't have his timing down yet with a receiving corps that would be ranked in the bottom 5 in the NFL.
His competition for backup corner positions (including nickel and dime packages where Jimmy could be an excellent slot cover guy) includes 2 Hokies in Greg Stroman and Adonis Alexander. The Skins took Alexander in the supplemental draft. The Skins signed Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the offseason bringing DR-C essentially out of retirement. And, then there's Danny Johnson who impressed a year ago as a UDFA.
*speaking of Josh Norman, while I think he is about 90% sure he'll be a starter with the Skins this upcoming season, there are a lot of question marks around him these days...that is, is he no longer considered an elite CB? etc. He's due to make around $15M this and next year. 2019 is his 4th year of his 5-year contract. Will be interesting to see if the Skins stick with him moving forward or take a dead cap hit of $3-6M while opening up some money to spend elsewhere. Certainly, he needs to step it up and the coaching staff has made that clear in the media.

Yeah, Norman played for Coastal Carolina when they were still FCS.

Yeah, Norman played for Coastal Carolina when they were still FCS.
Also, Norman was a walk-on at CCU and was a Day 3 NFL Draft pick (5th round).
