RE: Pro Dukes
Off topic from Dukes but...
...not long after JF'nM was taken, the Vikings selected a long snapper out of Air Force, who is going to serve his 2 years in the service before being available to Minny. I don't know whether to applaud the Vikes or raise my eyebrows or shake my head or what at that pick. A long snapper? Must be some kind of story behind that???

Only a 2 year committment. I know for service academy graduates there used to be a 5 year minimum active duty committment/3 years reserves (with some MOSes longer).

There still is, but he resigned prior to graduation as a "2nd class / junior" it appears. He played for AF for 3 years, and according to the link below, resigning as a junior incurs a 2 year duty commitment.

What happened to that tall WR from Cal Poly or wherever it was? I think his name was like Keelan Doss? I thought he was a projected mid-round pick...

Keelan Doss from UCD might have been the biggest not drafted surprise out of I-AA. Signed a UDFA with his hometown Raiders.

These are my same Vikes who a few years ago missed their turn in the draft because they did not get their pick in on time.

Wasn't it Minny who drafted that German wide receiver that was the darling of last year's draft? (or was it the year before?) I recall watching film of that young man running long TD pass receptions against what appeared to be middle school kids. Is he still with the Vikes? Can't recall his name.

Moritz Bohringer. They drafted him in the 6th round. Looks like he is on Cincy's Practice Squad and listed as a TE.

Saw in the Washington Post this morning that Rashard Davis was released by the Raiders. Bummer.

Interesting- Jimmy had 5 blocks as a freshman, but only 1 the last three years. 5 blocks in one year is a staggering figure.

No mention of Ankrah, not that I need an additional reason to hate the skins.

These are real stats that could make a difference in recruiting. More likely to get drafted, win more often and compete for a championship.
