RE: Pro Dukes
Apologies for off topic but just noticed the O’s are getting crushed at Tampa tonight. This will be their 100th loss on the season with 3 weeks left. Yikes! If they lose tomorrow they move to 60 games under 500. Not sure I’ve seen that before (with 3 weeks left that is)Not an O’s fan but really sad to see an organization I’ve always respected sink so low. Sheesh.

Well, I am an Os fan and have been since the late 60s. The current ownership has taken this once strong franchise and drove it into the ground much like Dan Snyder has in DC. In professional sports, who owns you is everything. They typically don’t sell until they die and in the Os case the owner is aging now and his sons are taking over. It looks like they are just more of the same to me.

This whole season makes me think of the 1962 NY Mets who went 40-120, the next year they were 51-111. Perhaps the Orioles need someone like Jimmy Piersall to help their attendance:

I was at that game. The Mets swept the Phillies in a traditional Double Header to get 2 of their wins that year.

Now back to football as I am looking forward to Sunday's Brown vs Greene match-up of former Dukes.

Add this to the board Degenerate.

Greg Madia
@Madia_DNRSports

Just spoke with former James Madison DE Andrew Ankrah. He tells me he will play in @TheAAF for the league's Orlando franchise.

Ankrah was the CAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 for his 45 tackles, 13.5 TFLs, 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

It's annoying that each team is simply called "City" "Alliance". That's not going to be the slightest bit confusing or anything.

Another James Madison alum is headed to @TheAAF. Former Dukes WR Ishmael Hyman said he will also play for the league's Orlando franchise, joining DE Andrew Ankrah there.

Hyman had 29 catches for 408 yards and four TDs in 2017 at JMU.

He looked good, pass blocking in the scoring drive I watch.

Nice hustle play downfield a moment ago after a Jags WR caught a pass and then fumbled 15 or so yards downfield. Josh was there quickly to make the tackle of the Pats defender who scooped the fumble up.

One player's misfortune is another player's opportunity to rise.

Jaguars starting OT, Cam Robinson, tore his MCL yesterday and is now out for the season. Josh Wells stepped in his place and did well yesterday against the Pats. Internet convo suggests Josh will be the starter moving forward.

Also, Bears TE Daniel Brown is expected to play tonight against the Seahawks after sitting Week 1 resting up an injury (shoulder).

RE: Pro Dukes
They just hadn't yet released the franchise names of each AAF team yet. Orlando will be the Orlando Apollos.

https://twitter.com/TheAAF/status/1042734145846181888

I am tired of the NFL's complete incompetence at every turn, so I'm eager for a legitimate contender to challenge them in professional football. Roger Goodell has run the league into the ground alongside his owners.

The AAF's biggest challenge is fighting the "second tier players" stigma through their first decade plus of existence. They'll need to make money, then pay for some marquee names in football. That'll turn heads then.
