Side note, the Chicago Bears are signing backup TE Trey Burton (from Philly) to a big contract. This stymies Daniel Brown's chances of a starting role in Chi-Town, but he still has a chance (I assume) at making the roster. Most NFL teams keep at least 3 TE's on roster - perhaps as many as 4 or the rare case of 5 if that TE can be a big contributor in special teams.

I updated post 1. DB is not expected to be tendered a 2018 offer in Chicago and will be a Free Agent.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully, he can catch on with another club.

He is back in chicago.

I know he's a very positive guy but in Arthur Moats' ESPN Harrisonburg podcast, he made it sound like it was a "where he'll sign", not an "if he'll sign" kind of scenario for him next season.

RE: Pro Dukes
Aaron Stinnie projected as possible late-day Saturday draft pick (read: 6th or 7th round)... http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerp...910&spln=1

This week the NFL should release its regular season schedule if it follows suit from last few years (likely date would be Thursday, April 19), then the draft from The Land of Cowpunks the week after.

Hoping Stinnie and Ankrah's names get called. They'll each get a UDFA invite even if not. I think Schor will get a UDFA call as well. He's worth the look and NFL clubs need a few backup QB's for off-season work so their main QB's don't throw their arms off in drills.

As a diehard Skins fan (yes, some of us still exist and we admit it 04-cheers), I'd love to see any of these guys in B&G. We especially have huge needs in our interior OL so Stinnie would be an intriguing selection, though I have no knowledge that the Skins and Stinnie have met/talked.

As close as they are, it always seems like the Redskins are the least interested NFL franchise in any player JMU has offered historically. Who was the last player to even briefly appear on their roster? (Someone will point out a guy from just 2-4 years ago).

edit: I see Akeem Jordan was on the 2014 Redskins roster for a single season after playing for the Eagles (07-12) and Chiefs (13) first.

Was Skolnitzky (spelling?) on their practice squad a few years ago, or was he on Baltimore's?

J.D. Skolnitsky was affiliated with the Redskins back in the 2009-2010 (ish) time frame.

Yes, thank you! I believe he got the sack that forced the infamous Scotty McGee punt return in the Richmond game.

RE: Pro Dukes
Pretty impressive observations from last night's 1st round of the NFL Draft...

Casey Kroll @kacefb
THREE former walk-ons were drafted in the FIRST round of the #NFLDraft

Bruce Feldman @BruceFeldmanCFB
A guy who walked on at two different programs just became the first pick of the NFL draft. That is something.

The TE from the 2004 team got a rookie training camp invite with the Skins. Ridley was his name I think?

Yeah I was really looking more for an example of a drafted player or UDFA contract kind of offer from the redskins. If they throw a bone to us, it’s usually practice squad kind of offers.
