This. We have seniors that are extraordinarily talented, and something is awry here. I can't put my finger on it, because I'm not an expert. But the team has looked off in Mobile, Statesboro, and Kalamazoo.
Hopefully we can finally get back to real option football and quit reinventing
Why is Breida at about half his career yards per carry?

Because he hasn't played our defense yet?

Lol, I'm glad you asked...
We'll blame it on the scheme but in reality it's O-line play. Lost. It's frustrating because they're better than they've played.

Georgia Southern at Arkansas State discussion.
From what I've seen it all comes down to the OL and TE's. I've seen blocks that in the past were routinely made, completely whiffed. Keep in mind we don't have a single TE on the roster that had one college start before the season began and in our scheme they are typically the ones who block on the edges. Sometimes it just looks like they are being coached to pick up the wrong guys. I don't really know who to blame, coaches I guess.

I honestly don't even think this game will be close. Arkansas State has somehow managed to get themselves into the the bottom of the Sun Belt.

I wish I could say I thought we will crush the Red Wolves but how can a GS fan after watching us play 4.games think this will be easy?

We nearly got held to negative rushing yards by an FCS school. Unless we completely abandon the run and pretend we're Texas Tech in disguise, you'll win. Even if we do abandon the run entirely, you'll probably put enough pressure on Hanson to win.

Most GS fans want to see our explosive offense back not the one where we constantly run up the middle into the backs of our linemen who block no one.
We have turned Brieda into almost a non-factor this year

On the positive side, it is raining in Jonesboro right now so less crowd and we get to see if the new drainage system is any good.

This could get ugly for Arkansas State. Georgia Southern wins by 24

Arkansas State is #1 in CBS's Bottom 25 right now. I don't think they're anywhere near the worst team in the country (or the conference) but a loss would be a bad look here for GS.

Ewww. I didn't think about that. If you think GaSo fans dislike their coach now, imagine what will happen if they lose to the last place team in the nation? They may not let him urinate in Beautiful Eagle Creek anymore.

I've seen them 3 times in person. It pains me to say but....If they weren't the bottom team in the country they were doing a pretty good impression of it.

I don't know if we're the worst team in the country, but on the right day the worst team in the country could beat us.
What makes us scary is that we have the talent to win this game if we suddenly put it all together.

I would bet $200 that stAte would beat Charlotte by double digits.

Need a football fix, hoping for a good game. Before we moved up I didn't give a crap about any other games but now I find myself looking forward to other conference games.

I'm not quite to the point of looking forward to them, but I do find myself checking in on them often on ESPN3 during breaks of GS game or while waiting for my game to start. My son (fully GS indoctrinated, but could care less about conference mates) is always like "why are you changing it from [insert SEC, ACC or Big10 game] to check on NMSU vs. Kentucky?" and I'm all like "Together We Rise"
