I'm sure USA reports tickets sold just like every other school in America.
No way every fan gets their tickets scanned at every other school in the country. All schools report tickets sold, and I'm sure USA does the same.
And you're wrong. Skully, of all people on this message board, would know. I've always been aware of the fact USA only counts butts in the seats (and as Skully said, they're not very good at that either) otherwise we would probably average well over 20K per game.
Methinks perhaps some in this thread are a little jealous they can't average 17K actual butts in their own seats?
Are you trying to infer that Marshall doesn't average 17k actual butts in seats?
We average 25-28k pretty much every season.
Going by what you guys say, I think we have almost 40k every game.....if only they would count everyone there
Ladd seats 40K.
Not sure what the endzones seat, but if they each seat 5K (probably much less) then each side probably seats approximately 15K.
Even though I captioned this tweet after the game was over, this shot was taken around halftime.
It was certainly more fans there than the 17,691 reported in the box score. There probably were about 100 fans in the two endzones combined.

Comparing that to our stadium when full, that's definitely at least 24-26k

USA fans, how would you rate the GS fans? We usually travel well and are very vocal at games. Were you impressed, disappointed, about what you thought? Just wondering how we rate compared to other visiting fans.

Umm... I don't have anything negative to say about them, but I was expecting a bit more to show up. I thought GS would travel a bit better. But the forecast did show possible rain all week until Saturday so that could have kept some away. The ones that were there were loud when they made the plays to ensure they would win, but weren't that noticeable for most of the game. As far as how they traveled compared to others, I'd probably put them third after Troy and the Cajuns. I just wish we could get a Saturday home game when we play Troy because even more would show up.
