Baseball: Weekend conference series 3-11 to 3-13. Blame the weather (and the flu)
So...I don't believe I have ever seen this in the same weekend, but we have 3 series either with different opponents, or being played in completely different locations this weekend

Conference:

Arkansas State at Texas Arlington
UL-Lafayette at Troy
Georgia Southern at Appalachian State
Texas State at UL-Monroe (At San Marcos, TX) (Starts on Saturday)
South Alabama at Little Rock (At Mobile, AL) *

Nonconference:

Lafayette (PA) at Georgia State Cancelled (Norovirus)

Saturday: Fairmont State at Georgia State (DH)
Sunday: Jackson State at Georgia State
Monday: Jackson State at Georgia State

Notes:

Texas State at ULM moved to San Marcos, TX due to the catastrophic flooding in the Monroe area. As of right now, the designated home team has not been determined.

South Alabama at Little Rock has been moved to Mobile, AL due to the 10 plus inches of rain that has fallen in the Little Rock area in the last 48 hours. The Trojans will be the designated "home team" for the series, despite its location.

I feel that ULM should be the home team for our series. I bet they end up doing a coin toss or something to determine Home or Away.

Don't matter whom you "call home." The Game's at our house, We're Home, regardless of who you "designate" as "home for the series."

Sucks for ULM, IMO . . . But you can't control the weather . . .

Batting last is a nice advantage if a game goes to the wire.

It's about the advantage of having last bats. Typically speaking, ULM should be the home team for all 3 games because it was originally going to be their home series anyway.

True, but if you take care of business in the previous 8, it's nice to walk off the field with the "W" after half the 9th . .

I have no problem with designating them as Home for this series, just pointing out that it doesn't change the reality of this being a home series for the Cats . . . .

Semantics, I suppose . . . .

How would it work for RPI purposes? Would they be considered home or away games?

I would say it would be based on where the game was played, not who was the designated home team. JMO

I've looked it up, and Texas State should be considered the home team for RPI Purposes. Our series with UTA last was called a neutral site series since it was played at neither location.

As you mentioned, RPI is about the home field, not the home team.

Damn.

Probably the way it should be, but was hoping to catch a nice break there.

2nd at bat after coming back from injury Hunter Thomas hits a grand slam(has 5 RBIs on the night so far). Eagles have definitely missed hit bat in the line up.

Eagles lead 11-1 headed to the bottom of the 5th.

We didn't win.

Doubleheader starting at 1 PM ET tomorrow.

I'm getting drunk and yelling at the bullpen for 7 hours tomorrow.

RPI would count as "away" for ULM

Honestly, I would rather be the away team. I want first hacks
