Tough 2 @ JMU, @ HOF
Two tough games this weekend.
The first is at JMU. We need to go into this one confident, and play like we know we should win. I'm not saying we should, but confidence goes a long way. With Curry out, this seems like the best time to play the Dukes. If we can get Dalembert in foul trouble, we should win. But we haven't been able to stop anyone inside all season, so this will be a tricky game.
Our last game vs. Hofstra went to triple overtime. It was a game that Hofstra commanded, but somehow wasn't able to put us away until 3OT. This game is winnable, but we'll need to play better than last time. Hopefully we can build on our last couple victories and try to get back to the top 6. This weekend and home vs. Charleston are crucial.

Nice win without TJ Williams and Zach Stahl (for the large majority of the game).
I wasn't able to watch, but followed the overtimes on twitter. Sounded exciting. Let's keep it going!

Are we favored at this point to get the 6th seed over Charleston?
It's close. NU should be favored in the head to head match up next week in Boston. There are still a lot of tiebreaker scenarios to play out based on Hofstra vs. UNCW for 1st place. NU has the easier schedule left outside the head-to-head.
Problem is with a #6 seed is staring right at a W&M game 1, the last team I want NU to see in the first round.

Thanks, helping you guys would be a bit of a bonus based on our 1-1 record with you for tiebreaking purposes :)

I think TJ Williams will still be missing, but I'm assuming Zach Stahl will play more minutes tonight than he did vs. JMU because of the head injury.

Hey, there's life on the NU board! What can we do to help? We need our Northeastern schools engaged in basketball. Especially if you guys are going to start winning championships. C'mon!

Yeah, well there are two of us now, who knows how it will grow here.
First tv timeout, decent start, up by 4, but can Miller not get in foul trouble in a game? Is that too much to ask?

Can we have a possession where we don't take a 3 or turn it over? We are terrible. This is the worst game I've watched in a while.

Ford needs to drive more often. Too many 3's. He looks like he could take it to the rack against Hofstra all day long.

There doesn't seem to be much intensity in this game. Is it just me?

Turnovers doomed us. Gresham is such a freshman. Oh well. We can beat these guys on a good day though. Much better 2nd half.
And agree on Ford. He's awesome when he gets to the basket.

RE: Tough 2 @ JMU, @ HOF
Not getting to the free throw line was Northeastern's problem. Northeastern made only 2 free throws, which was the second fewest by a Hofstra opponent in Hofstra's last 175 games. Elon made 1 free throw at Hofstra 24 days ago. Northeastern's fourth and final free throw attempt was missed, and the ball was live. Northeastern was in the bonus, but the announcers said it was almost a basket for a three-point play opportunity, meaning that it should have been 2 free throws for a shhoting foul. After only 1 free throw was given with 9 seconds left, the announcers didn't say anything about it having been a shooting foul. If Northeastern was cheated out of 1 free throw attempt, it didn't cost them the game.

Getting to the free throw line was something we were able to do a lot of for much of the season. Not lately though other than the JMU game. I think missing TJ Williams hurt us a lot in this respect.
W&M is still the only team I think we can't beat in Baltimore.
