Wow, we don't get a lot of responses om this forum for softball but I was checking around and found absolutely 0 threads on other (CSNbbs) forums. They all have baseball but not softball.

I can't even get anyone else to post on BCF and our gals have started 9-1.

You know, at one time softball was not even a SBC sport. The Cajuns played for many years as an independent, and did quite well. The Cajun staff was pushing for the addition of softball as a conference sport. When the conference first added softball, the Cajuns took a big hit on strength of schedule and the Cajuns dominated the conference for several years. Since then, the SBC has developed into a nice mid-major conference for softball. A nice rivalry has even developed between the Cajuns and USA in Softball. So in the long run, it has worked out well for all involved.

uta softball at 10-0. best start ever. over 300 at their game yesterday..a good crowd for us and 1063 nextdoor at uta/oklahoma state baseball game.

Thing is, UTA and TXST are both off to the best starts in their programs histories and......nada. I find that kind of depressing. I do realize it may not be the same level of competition as USA and ULL are playing (or maybe it levels out) and we don't get the crowds that others do but, seriously, you'd think the fan bases would acknowledge something.
Rupp is already at 7-1 (took that 1-0 loss) and Williams, 2-0, (JC transfer) had a no-hitter on Saturday. UTA pitchers have no losses.

Not a single soul, besides myself, has posted anything about softball on our own forum.

Cajuns just batted around with 2 outs in the 2nd, up 10-0 on Central Arkansas.

Ga Southern actually won 4 of 5 this weekend in tourney in Fla. we beat North Fla., Marist, Villanova, and Massachusetts-Lowell. Lost to Providence. We are 5-5 now. Maybe we are better this year. It would be hard to be worst than last year

The Jags had a bad day yesterday, losing 2 to Southern Illinois and Samford. I had a feeling we'd lose a few early with all the new faces (5 freshmen and 2 sophomores) on the field. We need to turn it back around today against Southern Miss.
