We are a young, rebuilding program in the third year of Coach Fox's tenure. The Cajuns are the top-traditioned team in the SBC and a perennial top 10 in the nation. We will be more competitive in the SBC this year than the previous two.

so in 3 games against ranked teams uta is outscored 0-40 and has 3 hits.. I was hoping for scrappy competitiveness. I think many D2 teams would get a hit or two and maybe score 1 or 2 runs in 3 games. I am glad our game against ut-austin got cancelled. lots of people I know were going to be there.

I know you wanted a more competitive series with the Cajuns, but, even with Cajun pitching not as strong as in recent years, Alex Stewart and Kylee Jo Trahan are better than any pitchers your team has faced this season. Have faith in your coach. She'll get them ready for the rest of the season.

At least since our pitching isn't Sun Belt quality yet and we lost one pitcher already for the season, we're just going "**** it, hit dingers".

You guys getting swept by USA surprised me. Also has me a little nervous, as we have the Jags in San Marcos next week . . .

Not to derail the softball thread, but the frustrating part of the baseball sweep was that they were in every game. One bad half inning in all three was the difference.

Williams (5 innings) started our game tonight vs UIW. Was pulled in the 5th after UIW scored on a 3R HR. Cats came back and tied the game 4-4 and we went to extras. (Rupp gave up a run in less than 1/3 inning) Score tied 4-4 after 7. UIW scored 5 (UGH) in the 9th to win 9-4. (Charleston got the loss pitching 4 innings)

Another bad head-scratcher loss.

UTA and Georgia Southern split their DH. Rubber game tomorrow at 12 local time.

TXST and ULM split theirs also

Devin Brown tosses another no hitter to sweep App State. She pitched 14 innings in the series giving up 1 hit and striking out 27! She was 1 walk away from another perfect game.
