Oh, crap. We might be screwed. 10-team leagues might be able to divide into divisions and just do a round robin within the division. From the Big 12 website:

With the exit fee now at millions, and CUSA at only 650K for TV. Is the Sunbelt really in that much of a danger anymore. I don't think so now.

Yep. That mean that divisions with 10 teams is allowed.

So the Belt can divide into 2 5-team divisions, still play only 8 conference games (4 division games and play 4 of the 5 from other division) and have a champ game. If this is true NMSU and Idaho are certainly at risk of being exited

It is true. You can even have 11 teams and hold a CCG, as the () stated as equal as possible.

Idaho and NMSU need to form a conference with Notre Dame and BYU, assuming we are not renewed

Now that it can be done with 8 conf games still I think it is distinctly possible we drop back to 10 starting in 2018

This is still true. The WAC had 10 teams until it didn't.

Plus I can pretty much promise given the roster that Idaho isn't going to suck next year or the year after. We're likely to even be good and actually help you.
