I don't think it finishes that way because I think Troy, ULM, and Texas State are better than what RPI says right now, but it's possible.

I said last year that ULM was impressive So that's not surprising as I had them picked as dark horse team. I've really been impressed with what TXST has been doing as well. Troy I haven't followed much but hey the conference is improving so that's a plus. I think we are up to 18 in rpi. UTA and UALR have been impressive. I'm still waiting on the real ULL to show up but I think they will be in the thick of things.

Uta is the top team to me. The win a memphis was impressive to watch.

I would pick little rock if we had won against tx tech but tech's bigs just exposed our lack of size. In conference that will not be an issue as no sbc team has 4 six ten guys that can play.

The great thing here is the sbc will get a good seed for who ever goes to the ncaa this year giving us a chance to win a game Uta or lr could do that

Yea, Texas State is the one I waffled on the most. In the end, I dont put much stock in SOS. Playing tough teams doesn't mean your a good team. If they'd have played closer or beaten better teams, then I'd have the 'cats higher. In the end, yall will probably do what TXST do in everything but football and that's do well in conference and make me look silly.

We need our Women's team to be on point to even out the utter disaster the Men's team will be to our Bubbas Cup rankings.

so are we doing a power ranking or just comparing records?

I'm not sure I agree with your Women's prediction. I have ULL 2 Little Rock 3 Texas State 4 UTA 5.

After tonight, I'm not sure they are that high. Our women outscored Georgia State in the first and fourth quarter, were tied in the second, but were outscored 25-2 in the third. Ouch!

Don't discount ULM. We will be strong in the SBC. A lot of our losses were without Deng who is back now. Don't know how you rank ULL above us. We are leading the conference now at 2-0 and some people have us 6th.

that 15-0 run by gastate sunk them. it looks to me like uta's big girl is struggling so far this year and that could keep them form finishing very high. they started out with some good defense but now dont seem to be able to stop folks.

On behalf of App: I'm sorry. We really do try, and although it never has really worked, we'd love to be more than just a football school. As a fan, it sucks that winter is a lull period for us. Our fans are either going stir crazy waiting for baseball season (even though our team hasn't set the world on fire lately) or they're counting down the days till football season starts back up. I sincerely do hope we turn our basketball program around one day. Our basketball arena is beautiful, but it goes to waste when it isn't used for graduation or concerts.

well by the end of January we will see a clearer picture as to who is going to be strong and weak in the conference. We will separate the men from the boys and the women from the girls. I'm excite and hope this is a competitive strong league in conference play.
