Seriously. All I said was, "hey guys, a cool place opened near the stadium, check it out with your kids maybe"

Then Georgia Southern fan replies, "nah screw you it sucks"

Why do you hate small businesses and pastries? Do you hate sunshines and rainbows too? 03-lmfao

No surface lot will be left..instead people will have to use the new parking decks. Pregame celebrations will have to move to one of the neighborhood bars. If I remember it right, a study concluded that parking lots tend to create "dead space" where foot traffic dissipates, which adversely affect local economy and quality of life. (Basically the Braves were stupid and screwed up the entire neighborhood for decades)

Baseball complex construction will began around 2021 from what I heard last. Basketball gets priority before baseball.

Might be good for foot traffic and neighborhood flow, but is terrible for gameday experience with no traditional tailgating.

I mean for a group of people who have complained about how hard it is to foster a true college football experience and how terrible their admin is at doing it, I don't see what's so wrong about people pointing this out.

Or maybe this is a ploy to eliminate any areas where the students can congregate and party instead of going into the stadium.

It is a shame though that future Gast fans will not get to "grow up" in tailgates and have experiences unique to the football experience.

The Turner property is really looking like more about what can make Carter a ton of money in the development, with no regard to trying to create the opportunity for traditional college experiences.

All the stuff around the stadium will be nice to spend money at that doesn't go to the school though.

I don’t think anyone truly knows what is truly going to shake out with the development and everything posted is more or less pure speculation.

I’ve heard from Athletics there will still be areas for traditional tailgating. The overall development is going to be fantastic for the school, surrounding neighborhood, and city.

I see nothing wrong with forming a mutually symbiotic relationship between GSU, Carter, and the local community. It is a win for everyone involved.

It’s late and my brain is a little slow tonight. Is GaSt the only urban campus in the SBC? I know the building I see when driving through town with the GaSt name on it are north of I-20. How far is the actual campus from Turner Field?

It's not far. Take a left at the 14th homeless guy, then go about 6 crackheads and take a right. You can't miss it. 05-stirthepot 03-lmfao

GT has tailgating around the stadium, throughout campus and in surface parking.f lots as far away as Peachtree and North Avenue.

I have always been under the impression that the city didn't care about the Braves. I remember the Braves asking many times for the city to help clean up the area around the Ted and make improvements inside the stadium but they refused to. Which led the Braves to head north.
