I don't understand being vindictive to coaches leaving for more money. You can't expect a coach to risk coming to your school, getting fired, and ending up in a job paying less than what they were making before they arrived if you don't let them reap the rewards of being successful.

If Blake Anderson wins the SBC again next year with a new quarterback and puts up similar offensive and defensive performances then somebody is gonna pay that $2 million buyout and grab him. I hope that happens. Because if it doesn't it means we didn't do well. If he does do it, I'll congratulate him on his new job and thank him for the rings.

I have to go with wish him luck...it's a job. People can scream all they want about loyalty this and loyalty that. If someone offered you triple your current salary to take a job somewhere else, can you honestly say that you wouldn't go???

The biggest problem I have with the whole thing is all of the people calling for his head after this season. Talking about how bad of a coach he is for loosing. It's funny, pretty sure those exasct same folks were the same ones crowing last year about how great he was.

The problem I have is how it messes up championship and bowl periods. Those times should be about players.

He definitely took the shine off the bowl game. On the flip side, he may never coach a bowl game now.

It's not what's wrong with Hud, its what's right with Lafayette.

Get with the program. We've got great food, culture, and women.

There's a lot of people down there that merely identify as women....

A million dollar salary, boosters who give him money for anything he asks for, lafayette is a great place, mrs HUD really loves it here. We almost lost him to Tulane after year 1 when he was making $350k.

The State loss stings, and going to our first bowl game with a Skelton crew coaching staff sucks, but wish him well. Thanks for the wins, now it's the next man up.

I'd rather have them leave after 2-3 years because they were successful, than have to fire them after 5 because they weren't.

I picked up on the joke and admittedly got a kick out of it. My mother was a big Red Skelton fan so I had the privilege of watching some of his stuff

Same here. My dad enjoyed his show so we kids watched it as well.

It really was the perfect setup, wasn't it? He not only spelled the word wrong, he capitalized it like a last name.

I was undecided initially whether to go with Red, or ask if they were expecting a clown show on the sidelines, but I see now it wouldn't have mattered to most.
