Congrats Red Wolves
All but Conference Champs.

I had a bad feeling all week and predicted a loss, but it still stings.

App has a great team...I think losing a few OL during the game was a huge factor. 1st half App was unstoppable on offense and had our offense stiffled. 2 big turnovers by our defense kept us in the game the first half. Our offense finally got going in the second half before it was too late. Momentum is huge in college football....somehow we wrestled it away from App.

Good luck to App the rest of the way...you guys will be in a nice bowl this year if you win out.

Thanks man. Someone has to be number 1 and, while I'm glad it's us, you guys are a damn close 2.

Agreed, App has a ton of talent, they won't let something like this bother them.

Injuries suck...we know this for sure.

When Chapman, our center went down in the first half. I had a really bad feeling about the game, he is our best offensive lineman on a unit that was already depleted. Give Ark St credit, once that happen Ark St defense smelled blood in the water, and came after Lamb and he couldn't respond. Congrats to Ark St, your coaching staff made adjustments in the second half, ours didn't, second game in a row.

Our adjustments suprised us too. They did a good job tonight across the board.

I don't know if I'll be able to handle seeing the board and being reminded of the loss for the next couple days, so let me just say: Congrats Arkansas State. You guys just kicked our asses all over the field. I don't see it happening, but just lose one down the road so we can share the title 04-cheers

We are generally stingy about such things, but we'll give it some thought.

Man tonight sucked. Bad crowd, bad performance. We made too many mistakes tonight in the first half and in the second half Ark St just dominated in every possible way. Congrats to the Red Wolves for a great showing. Hope we can finish strong.

RE: Congrats Red Wolves
Thanks for the congrats. Very glad to have App State and Ga So in the SBC. These two teams were much better fills then some of the loser teams that went to USA. That being said, the SBC is very competitive. I am already worried about going to Monroe and Las Cruces and having Tx. St at home. All of those teams are more than capable of beating stAte, App or Ga. So.

It won't be long, if you haven't already figured it out, that SBC play is a battle every week.

stAte really showed up tonight. This win was just as big for Anderson as Freeze beating WKU and ULM on the road and Malzahan beating UL on the road. Look forward to many good games with the Mountaineers.

Monroe is extremely bad.

I fully expect a Sun Belt Screw Job to come soon on our end. If We win our next 2, Karl Benson gets the lovely job of having to come to Jonesboro for the Texas State game, knowing if we win, he has to come down on the field in front of all of his "adoring" fans and hand us the trophy.

I'm sure he's really looking forward to that.

It's a rivalry game though, Monroe has a ton of Arkansas kids, and they always play us close. We've won 5 straight games in the series, so you know they will be out to stop it from being 6.

I'm lost. What's the beef between Benson and Arkansas State (or at least its fans)?

BTW, that was a fun game until the third quarter. I had dreams of the top 25, 11-1, and an SBC championship dancing in my head, but Arkansas State truly earned that win tonight. Congrats. Ugh.

Some of it stems from him overruling the head of officials and upholding a targeting call against q lee our best lb which left him out against wku a game we lost. When presenting the trophy that year he was booed loudly.
