"Travel very well" is an understatement. I know that in the SWAC Southern is known for outnumbering schools at their own home stadiums. Folks love to see Southern and Jackson State on the schedule because that means a packed house that particular week. Also fans and students who'll usually skip games come out for SU and JSU. I know that Southern is responsible for breaking the home attendance records at Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Alcorn State, Jackson State, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, and Texas Southern.

You are right. That picture was from our game against them in 2009 where we set the attendance record of 41,357. At the time Cajun Field's official capacity was only 31,000 so we sold nearly 10,000 SRO tickets. This past season's game against them set a very good attendance mark of 36,170, which I believe is top 5 and our best attendance since we did our SEZ expansion. The game this year had bad weather essentially all day and continued after kickoff, so the numbers this year were really solid. I'd like to get them and McNeese on a rotation every few years to play here, unfortunately McNeese is too full of themselves and are asking for too much money.

I'm afraid we've never filled the Dome (which i don't think is unreasonable), but i took this during our first game against Shorter, which was announced at 30,237.

That is a very nice crowd. Do any of the Panther fans believe it is probable this year? Say against Appy State, Louisiana, Troy or South Alabama? Might be doable if you all were .500 this year.

People go to see Southern's "human jukebox" their bands halftime performance is worth the price of admission. Only games I have ever been to that everyone stays put at halftime and then goes to bathroom and concession after the band finishes. In 2009 they did a michael Jackson tribute... It was f'n awesome.

I doubt it, unless we happen to make a hell of a run. I do believe that, with a winning team, we can get back to having the lower bowl fill out because we used to see it, at least for the first games and bigger games, but i think people have just given up watching a crappy team. Start putting together a watchable product, and i truly do believe we can have 20,000 per game and above (remember, when we were getting a fair few people in the Dome, we were playing D2 and NAIA teams. Replace those with FBS teams and people will care a lot more. Just gotta start winning).

Start winning and support the game day experience. Funny thing is people downtown want to support the team but Levick made it so hard. Tailgating has always been great but you could drive down Peachtree or MLK and never know a game was occurring that day. So need more community and downtown business engagement. And have too win. Atlanta only supports winners.

I'll bet we can out draw Georgia State at the Dome in a neutral site game vs App than State can a home game against the same. Matter of fact, I'll bet if we played against anyone else we could too.

That was actually a Saturday.....December 1st.
Probably my favorite game at Jonesboro. It was one of our most complete games, that I've seen in person....and to do it against the top of our conference.....awesome!

Ah, the last time our schools played. You guys need to come back here for a game. A lot of the recent games were in Hattiesburg and little lopsided. We owe you guys.
