Here's one of the Navy game. There is a better one out there but the image was too large to post.[attachment=6989]

Edit: not sure how to make it appear on here

sorry for edit, tried to make it show but the URL is wrong and attachment disappeared. Found this one.

It just seemed to me this area was begging for a winner to cheer for. Seems I was right.

It will be interesting for us this year as all of our Home Games are on a Saturday......Tuesday games the last 3 years, although averaging around 22 thousand, knocked down our yearly average.

Toss in a big win or two on the road and I'm hoping our attendance is really impressive.04-cheers

Until recently 30,000 was the norm at App State, our attendence has suffered a bit like most in the college football world due to a number of circumstances. However, given this year's home slate and general optimism we should be looking pretty packed in the 28,000 plus range and loud every game.

ULM 7664
UL 9456
AState 10776

In 2014 18,294 was the league average
The hopeless cases from that first year in 2014 drew:
ULL 25,775
AState 24,861
ULM 18,108

Not a pic but a video of the December 2, 2012 game vs. MTSU. Over 31,000 in attendance in DECEMBER! Of course it was the defacto championship game. We were 7-0 and MTSU was 6-1...if they won it would be a tie but they would have had the tiebreaker. It was a must win for both schools. It was Malzahn's last game. On the bomb to Julian Jones to make it 28 to nothing the replay shows a full end zone and people 2-3 deep standing behind the fence in the corners...SRO.

I feel confident KBS will be crammed for the Thursday night Ga Southern game. I'm concerned the crowd for the 2nd Thursday night game vs Ark State will less than desirable. It's anybnody's guess how many show for the Thanksgiving weekend game against Louisiana. Being in a resort location makes for great Saturday crowds as folks use gamedays as a mini vacation. Unfortunately that works against us on the week night and Thanksgiving weekend games, esp with students away. I'm really interested to see how App fans turn out for those last two.

OK, I'm waiting patiently for a photo of one of Georgia State's home games in the Georgia Dome.

I'm afraid we've never filled the Dome (which i don't think is unreasonable), but i took this during our first game against Shorter, which was announced at 30,237.

I recall walking up to Cajun Field late one afternoon for a game against Alabama. In the distance appeared a double rainbow. It was beautiful.

That was the highlight for the day.

I have no idea. Our administration is very quiet on almost every major decision...until it actually happens. It has a lot to do with Mizzou's power in our state. If we try to do something like Texas State did - or EKU is doing - we'd almost certainly get shut down.

If NMSU was an all sports member and EKU was added, I think we'd be a lot more likely to join because it would be a much improved basketball conference to go along with the already fantastic football.
