Isn't UL playing La Tech or am I wrong? I think UL can pull off this W in that game.
I hope so after the embarrassment last season

We should beat the Citadel by 3 touchdowns, although that is not an easy FCS game... that dang option can be tricky. I think we'll be the favorite against Western Michigan, but they are a pretty dagum good G5 team. Honestly, most of Eagle nation is somewhat expecting an upset over WVU or UGA and will be disappointed if we don't win one of those.
Western Michigan had the best recruiting class in MAC history last year.
Don't know much about them but they seem to be on the rise.

Bring a kicker. Apparently you need one to beat then even though they suck.

Yeah, well, thanks. Our kicker is now with the Texans.

I see 2 P5 wins. SBC takes a 2-1 record vs CUSA... Goes undefeated vs MAC. Georgia State will claim its first FBS victim this year.

Acting like WVU is a world beater is foolish. This team went 7-6 last year.

I think we'll see a very hard fought game between two teams that'll both play in bowl games at the end of the season. Everyone will be hyped up for it. Could be one of our best matchups ever. It should do nothing but increase the intensity of the rivalry that has developed between our two schools.

Again, ULM plays at Hawaii, which is also a very winnable game. We one last time we played there as well.

Just found out Clemson is favored in the ACC over Florida St. in alot of preseason publications, if that's true, hope App can atleast make the game respectable, but winning is probably off the table, I would be happy losing by just a couple of tds.
If your QB has a good game and you guys run the ball successfully then you may be in it with them. Your QB has an arm and is accurate and you have a good running game. App may do well in this one but their players need to believe that they belong there. Thats a big thing many times playing these types of programs. The smaller program goes in motivated to play but deep down, they dont admit it, they feel as if they want to be able to look good or play the other team close. You cant win like this and this mentality causes the underdog to get blown out sometimes. Im not just saying this about App, its common with most all smaller teams. If I were the coach at App, I might show the Michigan film to the guys the week of the game. Apps coaches did a great job preparing the players that week. Michigan wasnt a fluke IMO either. I think App was the better team that day and Michigan had no answer for Apps offense.

I'm pulling for you guys against Toledo obviously but what makes you so confident going up against Kareem Hunt again?

RE: Football OOC Prediction
Clemson just lost another potential starter at DE, they will be starting 7 new players, probably a lot of true freshman/RS freshman the good news is App should move the ball and score atleast 3 or 4 tds, bad news is Clemson will probably have the top offense in the ACC and maybe one of the best in the country, and is good as our defense, by SBC standards will be, hard to see us holding them under 35. I think App will play with confidence, and will not be intimidated by Clemson, and I think we will cause them problems on both sides of the ball, but we wont see another team this year with that kind of team speed and athletes. If we can hang in there for 3 quarters and keep it respectable, than I think it would be a good showing.

If App can keep it within 20 points, that would be a respectful performance. Clemson is stacked with talent. This game will be a brutal test for your team.

no doubt Clemson is loaded with talent, but its young talent with no game day experience, I would be disappointed if we didn't put up atleast 24 and 375 plus yds of offense, but, unless they turn the ball over, their offense is probably going to score a lot of points...I agree keep it within 20 would be respectable.

Nope. I've seen a couple of people pick them to win the MAC next year. This is an important game for our program. This is our first OOC G5 game ever and it would be awesome to get the win.
That is some bad luck for us, when we scheduled that they were not near as good. They have been a bottom dweller for awhile now out of nowhere they are conf faves. Well we see, it will be a good measuring stick. Lord how I wish we opened with the Citadel to get one game in for our OL. I don't think there is going to be any middle ground this year either our OL gets it together quickly or we are horrible do what App did towards the end of the season but to late to really matter.

Not to offend but this is exactly what Im speaking of. Players do this alot. You take a smaller program that is to face a good Clemson team they have the thought many times internally that they can play with them but dont want to get blown out and embarrassed so they go in playing that way, which is some what timid. I dont think Apps players will be intimidated at all, its the feeling that they will win if they play their best that is hard to establish among each player on the team. The media is to blame for much of this type of attitude. They have successfully created a thought that the players at the SEC or Pac12 schools are sooooo much more talented than teams like ours and its just not so. There is a gap in talent, yes, but not to the level they have made it out to be. Its not that Clemson doesnt have overall better athletes, but are they really that much better football players? Football is a game, and yes having better talent helps in a big way but many times the better talent isnt necessarily better at playing the game. When you see a game like App vs Michigan and the outcome was App winning, I guarantee you the App players went in to that game believing they would win if they played their best. Not "I hope we play well enough to look good or not get blown out". Its hard to get all your guys to truly believe that in these situations and they wont usually admit feeling like they "just want to keep it close". Dont get me wrong, im not saying that Clemson doesnt have better overall athletes on their team, or more talented overall, simply that football is more of a game of the mind than it is talent, much more so, and there would be more so called Fluke wins if more teams truly believed they would win if they played their best. Its usually the Sammy Watkins type players anyway that end up making the difference in these type games. 3-4 really good specialty players that end up breaking it out. There is where you find the difference is these types of game changers.

Southern going 3-1. I'll be in Morgantown WV rocking it as our team beats another Mountaineer.
