Yes he is doing pop for dollars right.

Thank you Captain Literal.
That IS part of the problem! You can't be pop and look like Alan Jackson

Indeed. A baseball cap is 'bout the only hat they wear these days.
And, even then they look more like grunge rockers than country singers:
That's Brantley Gilbert, btw.

On the Migos topic, this was actually said on the GSU board. "Why are we scheduling rap? There is good rap like MC Hammer and this trash." Can't make that up. Hip hop right now is as good as it's ever been with maybe the exception of mid 90s with Biggie, Pac, Outkast, and early Jay-Z.
I'm not sure what Hip-Hop/Rap you are referring to, but if you are referring to the stuff they play on mainstream FM radio it is horrible. And comparing it to the rap and rappers of the mid 90s, seriously? That's laughable.
I have always found it profound that A Tribe Called Quests LAST album and Wu Tang Clan's FIRST album were released on the same day. That was the day hip hop died in 1992.
Really? Both were great groups, but since then we've had All Eyez on Me, Ready to Die, Aquemini, Marshall Mathers LP, both Chronics, Recovery, College Dropout, Graduation, etc.

Since then hip hop has slowly devolved into unlistenable pants on the ground gangsta teen angst crap. But all popular music is now producer and Radio driven instead of artist and writer driven.

I would say the best artists in the game right now have nothing to do with gangsta rap. Eminem, Kanye, Kendrick, Lupe.
