I think the secondary will be one of the strengths of the defense next season. The only starter we're replacing is Tagoe.

Maybe too early yet in his Tribe career, but really expect big things out of Rashaad Goodwyn....

I would agree. Great size, naturally strong, with good instincts.

Looks like with everyone back healthy come August, we will have one very impressive Oline, both with starters and depth....Bodes very well for next season's outlook.

If coming from points north to the Tailgate and Game tomorrow, try to start early. Traffic was
awful last year --it is also Open House for Admitted Students tomorrow.

"They’ve also experimented with all-conference cornerback DeAndre Houston-Carson at free safety, which gives the young corners more practice reps. Laycock said they won’t decide whether to move Houston-Carson until the fall."

I don't get this at all. I'm fully confident in Dykes or Swinton to play #2 corner but DHC could be all-Conference and we lose a lot of talent by moving him. Why don't we move one of Harvey or Reuben to safety? It seems silly to me that they're blocking each other on the depth chart anyway.

Can someone explain to me what kind of cockamamie offense we're running this year? Dedmon at H-back?? What?

RE: 2015 Tribe Spring Ball
This is just brainstorming, I certainly have no inside knowledge, but what if DHC is better suited to safety in the Pros, so they want to give him a year of experience at that position, to help him get drafted.

Just a thought. If he can help us be better at safety and the coaches can help him with his future and find a young player that would handle the corner effectively, that would sound like a win-win for all parties.

Like I said, just throwing stuff out there...

We'll get a glimpse tomorrow, but won't see Dedmon. Tweaked knee.

Laycock's remarks about QB Cluley are very encouraging.

I like this explanation a lot. My only question is: Is DHC better suited to play safety in the pros? I know he's big for a corner but that seems like the way the position is trending.

+1 Laycock doesn't sugarcoat it, especially when it came to QBs the last few years. Very excited to see what things look like tomorrow, even if we're missing some key targets.

RE: 2015 Tribe Spring Ball
Missing Demon today certainly cramps the offense we'll see today versus what we'll see this fall. Also, the four offensive linemen, all in stages of injury recovery, won't play and will be back for the fall...so we'll be see just a pale copy of the full-blown offense today.

Imagine the main interest today, as others have said, will be to see Cluley this afternoon.

Criticism of the coaching staff? Blasphemy.
