CIT/CBI
This clown sounds an awful lot like an EZ poster in disguise. Charlotte community college hasn't been good since Lutz left you want facts there is one. One team headed the right direction and one headed in the other. Move along jagoff

RE: CIT/CBI
There are 12 spots left for the CIT, which is a mid-majors only tourney.

nycbuckets.com is showing hofstra as in the CBI. I dont know why its taking so long; I would just be baffled if we were excluded from the cit

The only reason I can possibly think of is that our Athletic Dept/Director is waiting to see if somehow we magically get an NIT invite. That has to be around a 2% chance at best, IMO. So I'm a little perplexed at what's taking so long as well.

no way we are getting nit. bass has to know that. cit has us in holding pattern. im hoping its because high point, a logical opponent for us, won't confirm until the nit selections are done as they have a realistic shot at an nit bid. thats the only thing that makes sense to me right now.

RE: CIT/CBI
We know we are not getting an invite. Solo could very well be right on with the High Point deal. The issue is with the NIT and their invites.

RE: CIT/CBI
It's purely a money issue. It sounds good to use the term "invite" but the reality is that the CIT and CBI are "for profit" entities and UNCW is in if they choose to be.
I suspect the delay is due to the reluctance to spend $35,000.00 on a home game or spend the additional funds to for travel that otherwise are not covered by CIT/CBI.

We are already priced out of the CBI. $35k/$75k/$150k. Just waiting for a CIT invite. $30k to host. CBI grows each round, including the visiting teams.

If there are people thinking that High Point (tied with Chas. Southern for conf. champ) can garner an NIT bid then maybe it's not too crazy to think that UNCW and W&M get an invite.

RE: CIT/CBI
Sam Houston State went 25-8 overall, and 15-1 at home. They only averaged 1150 attendance at home games, so this should be like an Elon crowd at best.
Balanced scoring, but their top scorer averaged only 10.7 ppg., two averaged 9.9ppg, and three averaged in the 8 point range.
They have one player with 80 blocks on the season, and three with at least 30 steals.
They shot A LOT of 3 pointers, with 762 attempts to their opponents 511, and average .327 as a team from 3.
