RE: Football Signing Day (a day early)
My guess is it is Breck Turner. Do we have any more that have committed that we haven't heard from? Just quickly going over the list in my head, Turner seems to be the only one left outstanding.

RE: Football Signing Day (a day early)
Apparently WMU is grayshirting three recruits. That's a bad practice unless the kid is injured and doesn't want to attend school and redshirt. Some like to not use their redshirt year in case they get injured or want to transfer. "It's a year in the bank".

"Delano Madison, Darion King and Connor Guzy are expected greyshirt and will be announced with the 2016 class next year."

I give Fleck credit for bringing the talent into WMU. Now all he has to do make them all happy-a difficult task.

That was discussed a while back that he wasn't on the team.

Neither is Kenny Jones, which I don't think has been discussed on here. He was a pretty highly touted recruit, and even saw time last year as a freshman. I wonder what happened.

If you added the ones that got away Colbert, Ojemudia and Ferguson along with Jackson to this class.... wow. As it is its a good class.

The MAC is having an overall great year football recruiting. Have to ask the question are we closing the gap with the other schools?

Good catch didn't notice that. Ouch.

Player development is more important to closing the gap than recruiting stars. English had several decent recruiting classes. A lot of the bigger names never developed or transferred. There are many talented football players in this class...let's see if Creighton can build them into FBS players.

speaking of WRs Brewster is also no longer on the roster had some playing time last year. Looks like the true frosh will be on the field playing.

By the way, Tuttle is listed on the roster. I'm not sure why they didn't put his picture on that board.

Creel and Strange are the only two WRs on the roster with any real experience. Both will be seniors. Tuttle will likely be relied upon right away as a JUCO transfer. And I'm sure LeMar Harris will get a decent opportunity. He's an intriguing prospect.

The Indiana transfer who sat out last year Davis might also be interesting and we also have Stone who played a bit. TE will also be interesting as Gardiner is about it, again true frosh will be the depth at that position.

It used to be that there were a number of surprises, but I guess these days most of the flips and new recruits are known in advance...

Anyway, still a fun day in a little over 12 hours.

Funny that they still use a fax machine. Today's kids may not even know what a fax machine is, let alone how to use one.

They do it for BobW, who appreciates the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Some of our posters weren't alive in the 70s or 80s.

Is Bob W going to be in a Radio Shack commercial?

With Terry Tyler and John Long (think I got the UDM names right) and a TRS-80 home computer with some mellow 'The Way We Were' theme music... and a photo of Bowen. COGS Maybe Streeter faxing the game stats to the AP. :)

RE: Football Signing Day (a day early)
but we are back at a familiar problem having to rely on true freshmen for depth at certain positions without giving them the benefit of a redshirt year.

RE: Football Signing Day (a day early)
Can anyone do a 'numbers' count indicating total number signed in December, how many count back to 2014 and how many are 2015 counters?

I saw a total of 24 quoted, but that counts some who count against the 2014 limit.

If that is so, we still have room for a few more - say 3 - 5.

Not necessarily. We have 10 WRs on the roster that aren't true freshmen, and 3 TEs. I think a true frosh TE could possibly see some time, but less likely for a WR, unless they're awesome from the start.
