This staff failed to take advantage of our success the past few years. NCAAT to getting smoked by a poor UD team. Maybe we should treat our baseball program with some respect and actually pay a good coach what he's worth.

Surprisingly good job by Aker in relief. But of course, as soon as we put someone else in, they immediately start getting shelled. Surprised Delaware (currently) only has 11 runs. Thought for sure they would score north of 20 with the way the 1st inning played out

RE: Tribe Baseball 2015
Delaware scored a second TD & extra point with seven runs in the 7th to win, 16-8! Two seven run innings in this one... Blue Hens scored 42 runs in the three games as our pitching continued to fall to new depths.

Ironically, we hit well and scored 26 runs in the series, but no way can you overcome the pitching collapse this weekend.

Now 9-9 in the CAA with first place College of Charleston and their three top hurlers coming to Plumeri next weekend. Could be a grim three games at Plumeri for our guys; with the annual Oyster Roast Friday evening at the ballpark and a large crowd expected it may not be pretty.

I understand that we are not fielding a major league team out there, but 5 errors in 1 game is something you see from your local little league teams

Just skimming the top teams in the country in ERA and there are teams with 40 unearned runs. MLB > MiLB > NCAA, and it's very apparent in defense. 5 in one game is a lot, but I'd be surprised if it was as uncommon as a basketball player hitting 6 of 6 from 3.

It looks like this weekends games will be broadcast on tribeathletics.com. I seem to recall earlier in the year the games were not available, so this is a good addition. Glad they could stick a camera or two up to stream the remaining games of the season.

Believe these are radio broadcasts...not tv. Plumeri is not yet equipped for telecasting.

RE: Tribe Baseball 2015
The section on the main page says "Watch Tribe Baseball Live" under Upcoming Live Events with a link that says Video Event. It's not like it's difficult to equip Plumeri for telecasting. Strap a camera behind home plate, maybe one or two others elsewhere for different angles. I don't think anyone's expecting ESPN, but it's nice that they've put this together quick (if that is the case).

Edit: The Sunday game is tape delayed on ASN, so maybe they're just using the camera equipment all weekend.

Tribe losing to C of C, 5-1 in top of fourth.

Five runs and seven hits off Jason Ingraham in just three innings. The Tribe lefty has gone from being a terrific pitcher the past two years, one of the toughest in the league, to a batting practice pitcher. He was to be the ace: what the heck happened to him?

Arm trouble my best bet.

Men among boys tonight....Tale of two programs going in opposite directions at the moment. I mean 5 legitimate homeruns, and a 6th in the park one on a terrible called dropped catch....C'mon.

As a side note, how are we still in a place where the baseball ticket sales uses an antiquated cash register and only takes cash....Hello iPads, Square, etc....Quaint, very quaint we be.

The kid that pitched last night for CoC is one of the best in the nation. He was originally at Towson but transferred when they dropped the program and was long gone by the time they decided to keep baseball.

This is a lefe or death weekend at Plumeri for our guys. They control their own destiny re making the six-team CAA Playoffs--W&M must win two of the three games to make the Tourney.

Tonight's key opener is 1-1 after five innings versus Northeastern.

What is up with the lineup tonight? No Hissey or Gould. Bottom 3 in the lineup are hitting .181, .000, and .109

Sitting in the dugout at Northeastern? I haven't looked at the standings, but from other posts it seems like our staff is fine against mid to lower CAA teams. We have problems with the top half of the league, though.

Tribe wins big one, 3-1. Ingham with his best game of the year (and perhaps only game where he pitched well all year)...walked 0 and fanned 13! He hit all his spots and would have beaten anyone tonight.

Hissey has been out for four games now---took a foul tip off his hand and may be out for season. No announcement but possibly a broken bone.

Gould was in original starting lineup....possibly sick or injured pre-game. May know more tomorrow.

Need one more win this weekend to cinch CAA Playoff spot.

RE: Tribe Baseball 2015
Tough 2-1 eleven-inning loss yesterday to Northeastern puts everything on today. It appears that win today we're in the CAA Tourney, lose and we're not.

Nick Brown pitched eight sensational innings for Tribe, 11 k's and one unearned run (on a passed ball). We could have won with a hit in ninth or tenth, but couldn't get it.

Our pitching suddenly remarkable in this series...three runs (two earned) and 27 strikeouts for our hurlers.

Team really handicapped now on offense with Gould and Hissey out, possibly for the season, with injuries.

I'm not optimistic about our chances today...pitching iffy and not hitting.
