Heart. Miles and miles of heart.

Comment of the night.

You can never go wrong with a Replacements quote.

Was really, really hoping someone would get the reference.

Congrats on the win. You have a terrific team that is well coached. The half court execution on offense was impressive. This Tribe team looks to be the team to beat this year.

I was there and recruited another Chesapeake friend. Incredible game. I was told that Spruill, a Senior, had made a total of nine 3's in his career prior to tonight?!?!?!

Congrats.

1,800 or so in attendance. Not bad for a game like this

I honestly felt we'd mount a comeback in the second. I would have never felt that level of confidence re any Tribe team before this season. Coach Shaver seems to have an amazing relationship with his players and clearly has their attention.

As awful as the first half was, our second half was equally impressive. We out-rebounded a very strong and athletic hawks team and took over in the paint. BTW, who here could have dreamed we'd hit better than 8 of 10 free throws? THAT single stat was the difference in the game.

FTs are the story of the season, thus far. We hit our free shots and there would probably be about 3-4 more wins in the book. When the Tribe miss FTs, it's like High Point - nice effort, but you came up short. This game would have followed a similar storyline. The FT percentage shows this team is capable of hitting them at a high clip. Make your damn free throws.

Agree with the comments on crowd support last night.

First of all, nearly 2000 folks turned out on a bitterly cold night with ice from the previous night all over Williamsburg and environs. Much easier to stay home. And this is 2000 with no students!

I have rarely seen a W&M crowd so hyped up as last night's in the amazing second half.
Nearly all stood and yelled on every Tribe defensive set and on every play in the final three or four minutes.

Biggest W&M come-from behind win (22 points behind) in Tribe hoops history. Quite an effort, guys.

Stats say it was only the 29th time in NCAA history that a team has come down from 22 or more points.

Crowd, for it's size, was very vocal and into the game (especially in the second half). My crowd had a blast (how could you not?) and I felt bad for a few of the people in the crowd I saw leave at half.

Great game and awesome to be sitting in first.

That was as loud and engaged a crowd as I have seen in a very long time for only 1,800 in attendance, and the crowd as a whole sensed a comeback in the making very early on in the second half. It would really be neat to experience that type of energy from a crowd of 5,000-6,000 and this team deserves to play in front of a crowd that large. Let's just take the 12,000 that show up for a sellout game at Zable, eliminate the 6,000 that show up more for the social experience than the game itself, and put the fannies of the real fans of the team and game itself in the seats at Kaplan. Talk about loud. What Tony has done for this program is amazing, AND if he ever takes us to the Big Dance, it will be the single most important moment in Tribe sports history, especially considering how little love this program gets when it comes to facilities.

That is the plan for the GOLD RUSH game on 1/24--get a crowd there like we used to have. If you are only going to one game this year, this one is it. Talk it up, get people there, and let's get the Hall moving like it used to.

Most have no idea how loud W&M Hall can get, but if I close my eyes I can still remember the Bruce Parkhill days. And I will never forget December 7,1977.

I would like to say it was loud when I was there 87-91', but those were the Swenson years and we were terrible. I was there for every game but we frequently had 2000 or less. Would love to see 5000-6000 on a regular basis.

It was rocking in 92 (maybe 93) when we lost to a top 10 ranked UVA in overtime. I could be wrong, but it may have been the last time UVA played us at home. I remember having goose bumps over how loud it was. I seem to remember a wall of green and gold tomahawk chopping. I know it's not the most pc thing, but it was awesome.

Noteworthy stat. Saw a tweet last night from what I believe was a Drexel fan (to their credit), laying a shoutout/dig to ESPN, why they weren't running with the game story.

The crowds in 97-98 were spectacular. We had the Hall filled for ODU, UR, and maybe one or two more. Everybody got their money's worth for the Mason game.
