I think you guys are the lucky ones, getting to play in CUSA. Getting better though, I think Sagarin now has you ranked higher than #20 now.

As far as football, it's not fair if you are only going to play 55 minute games.

Again, that's the only ammo people have on us, something that happened last year. Why kill your players if you are clearly overmatched? What if your son was out there? Exactly, and that's not the first time that has happened either, other schools have done it. Look at this year, all of our accomplishments, the first season in the FBS and finished bowl eligible, beating the CUSA champion and knocking off Latech (who beat Alabama and Ole Miss twice) before going on what may have been a winnning spree. Everyone said we won't win a game at the FBS level and we showed them! You all obviously have no idea that we recruited two FBS level QBS and working on a third. FYI, Taylor was an FCS level player, a very hard working one at that, but Monarch Nation will be fine moving forward! There's a lot of hater out there, but too bad, because our 40k+ seat stadium won't have room for you either!!!

ODU fans - how is Ross doing? Is his back still banged up? What does JJ do if he can't play? I know you guys are pretty deep

Ross is still dealing with back spasms. He'll try to play through them. He's definitely not his usual self, but if he is able to get on the court, he'll go all out and he certainly is a difference maker. If he's unable to go, certainly, Denzel Taylor is most likely to get the start in his place. Denzel is a tremendous rebounder and our best post defender, but lacks Richard's athleticism. Of course, the bigger issue, is that it would remove Taylor from being a valuable asset on the bench and probably mean more playing time for the reserves of Biberaj and Ebondo. However, I could also envision Jones going a bit smaller and playing Javonte Douglas some more. He is not a post player at all, but he is long and is probably our second most athletic player, behind Ross.

Looks like the live feed costs $10 for a one month pass. Can any ODU folks vouch for the quality of the feed?

The quality is usually pretty good, but the camera angles can be dumb. Sometimes it'll do close-ups on players during transition and stuff like that. The feed itself is pretty stable and it has the score on-screen. The audio will be the radio feed from Espn 94.1, so it'll be some Monarchs doing the announcing.

Rhetorical question you posed for certain. But the real questions are these: How many total meltdowns have you had the last three times we've played? How many "our coach sucks" and "I can shoot better than our players and I'm not kidding" posts have you written the last three games? How many times did losing to W&M make you vow to attend no more ODU MBB games?

We may win or we may lose but Tribe fans are supportive and loyal to the core. We don't go all spree killer mental when we lose because we understand we're dealing with student-athletes and life offers real issues to concern us. Merry Christmas, RR, and remember, it's okay. Breathe.

66-19 I believe, soon to be 67-19.

It won't be easy. The tribe is a very talented team this year and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they won the caa and made their first ever NCAA tourney.

If we can all agree on one thing this holiday season, let's just be thankful none of us lost to the university of the sciences on our home recreation center/court.

I don't recall ODU fans coming around the past two years. Must feel confident about this game.

I do know I thought about going to the Monarch forum to rub in our wins but, for some reason, I took the high road. But, we all know overall records or even what happened last season doesn't matter.

Tribe needs this win.
