Why would we want to take a step down?

I'm trying my best to refrain. I've typed a few things out over there, but then decided to not post some of it. I wanted a conference shakeup this off season, but I didn't want it to go down like this. I feel bad for UAB.

The key thing we have been needing for about three years is conference stability. Why would you want a conference shakeup?

University Presidents will make conference invitation and movement decisions. Begging and prostrating yourself to other fans on the internet will only achieve (rightfully) their amusement and (rightfully) a loss of dignity for your school.

But you have totally misdirected your anger, which should be Paul W Bryant Jr. and the Alabama BOT. And the state legislature for continuing to let this stuff happen. I can't help but be very thankful that USA isn't under the BOT, and I would fully support any effort to set UAB free. Now be nice.
