OT: SBC Targets in FCS Playoffs
Three made it. Including a classic matchup in Virginia.

First Round: Liberty at James Madison
Indiana State at Eastern Kentucky

Only SBC Opponent in the playoffs this year (Well Outside of Liberty) is Montana State which hosts South Dakota State in the right to get creamed by NDSU classic.

If Liberty were a powerhouse that competed for national titles I think they would be considered for an invite. Unfortunately they have never been able to take it to the next level despite their facilities and funds.

Wasting your time app fan. Sbc fans here arent interested in teams who might win it.

We all know that Liberty can play with the "Class on the Sunbelt." Even in a hostile environment.

Well the only teams that might locate it are located in Iowa and North Dakota...and they are just too far away.

BTW, Missouri State fired Terry Allen yesterday. It was somewhat unexpected IMO. Will keep an eye on that coaching search.

Should be a good game though JMU has really gotten their act together. Vad Lee has had an outstanding season after a rather slow start.

Vad Lee looked like crap at times when I saw JMU play UNCC. I told my JMU friend that if they beat Liberty, I'm buying a JMU hat

Facilities are behind, but that could be easily fixed. Geography can't unfortunately.

Bears had an awful end of the year after they had such a promising start. Were 3-1 and getting votes in the Top 25. They finished 4-8. From talking to some people up there, there are several in Springfield that are tired of being mediocre in football, and they think the administration agrees.

If you want in the SBC one of two things needs to happen.

1. UAB drops football, and CUSA adds South Alabama, leaving Troy more open to JSU's admission.

2. You relocate the entire campus to the state of Tennessee.

He ranks 5th in FCS in passing yards. Pretty impressive for a guy who came of out of the TO at GT.

He is 4th in total offense.

He was more of a passer in high school I believe. Not sure that he was ever a good fit for that offense, at least what it has evolved into. PJ seems less inclined to air it out like he did back in the day with Ham.

I think a lot of Lee's problem at GT last year was OL related as well.

04-cheers

Another team in the conference with the same record as us got in. Maybe next year.

We're still making progress with an 8-4 overall season, a 5-3 conference record, and a season closing win over one of our rivals (ranked #19 when we played them) on their home field.

Good luck to the Sun Belt in the post season.

Speaking of quarterbacks, we had a pretty productive one as well ranking 2nd in the FCS in total yards (3,709) and 5th in total offense (3,935). The bad news for us is that he was a senior this year.

One of his receivers was 9th in receiving yards, and tied for 6th in receiving TD's. (He wasn't in the top 50 in receptions so it wasn't like every pass was thrown to him.)

"Now, I'll hang up and listen." :)
