RE: Best Running Back in Sun Belt?
What is so ironic to me about Breida is that nobody gave him a second thought after last season. Most GS folks would have thought Swope and Thomas would be the RB's this year, not Breida and Ramsby.

Well our previous coaching staff only used Breida on kickoffs and gave him 1 carry in a game, where he promptly got injured.
I think it was more of we just didn't know what he was capable of. I don't think he played in the spring either.
Ramsby wasn't put at RB until the fall, when we knew we didn't have Swope OR Thomas.

As much as I love Breida and what he can do, I can see Ramsby being more of a traditional RB like Cox is. I think it's a good thing that we have both to complement each other.
Btw, it's a good thing ya'll started running the ball finally. I've been saying ya'll needed to do it more since Satterfield took over. That Air Raid **** wasn't going to cut it.

Coach Jones was not at his radio show tonight because he was at the First and Ten Club with the GoDaddy Bowl, so our defensive coordinator participated. He answered a question about South Carolina by saying they had a huge offensive line like MSU with a great back like Elijah McGuire and said that McGuire was a SEC-level back.
Our coaches are very high on McGuire.
To be fair, Cox was just getting healthy at that time (he only had 8 carries), and the changes to the O-Line had not yet been made. He may not be better than McGuire, but he is better than what your staff saw in early October.

I think the fact that McGuire was a QB in high school and his ability to catch the ball down the field makes him hard to prepare for. We use him in so many different ways plus we have this 240lb cat named Alonzo Harris you also have to worry about. When they are on the field together it's kind of a pick your poison.

Call me bias if you want but Matt Breida in the open field reminds me of a kid name Reggie Bush.

I would say they are similar type runners. Bush ran a 10.42 100m and Breida ran a 10.7 so he a little on him.

If he keeps performing, maybe next year he can join the Big Boy Doak Walker list like Breida. Looks like McGuire missed out this year.

I bet he has more receiving yards than both your RB and QB.

It's strange but or qb's receiving yards are down this year. It must be that gimmicky offense we run.
