Good luck with that Troy. It will take a couple few years to recover from the lack of recruiting by Blakeny when y'all finally good a new coach.

A school that has already named the field after the setting head coach will not fire him during the season. I don't know when his contract is up but I can see the admin doing two things:

1) Force LB to retire at the end of the season
2) Not renew his contract once it runs out, when ever that is

Contract ends NEXT year and I believe his buyout is 500,000

Troy will pay it. We will lose much more than that by keeping him.

LB' s recruiting reminds me of the recruiting by our men's BB coach John Brady. Lazy. Signs more transfers than anything. We are the king of the one year wonders. I have yet to see a program do well like that.

0-10. Sounds like a larger problem than just Blakeney.

Let's be clear those games were bigger conferences..we lost to a team that just became D1 a year or two ago..

Well the peanut gallery has arrived.

Yesterday the Sun Belt expected to lose 8 games. Idaho and Troy were the only teams expected to win who did not. Now did UL, NMSU, and USA perform a TD or worse than expected, yes they did. But GaSo did notably better while ULM, TXST, GaSt, and AState all played about as expected.

Out of the entire league the only schools to clearly underperform each of the last two weeks have be UL and Troy. Of those two one hasn't finished a season with more wins than losses since 2010.
