Georgia State jumped up to FBS to play that **** sandwich? Scheduling is hard, but you have to put some effort into it.

Maybe they could bring in Southern Utah or Gardner Webb...

Or Western Carolina and Savannah State, huh?

Wondering that too, and looking forward to it playing out. Y'all may recall that my Panthers used to get a fair number of votes in the TSN FCS Top 25. Predictions are funny things.

With that said, on August 22, 2014, I'm not taking that 2018 home opener for granted as a win. Baby steps.

You actually received votes while in FCS? Huh, imagine that!

I think that game will be well attended if Kennesaw proves to be as good a team as most predict. But this quote from the article made me cringe: "Georgia State will host Kennesaw State in Atlanta on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018. The game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools and could be the start of a local, in-state rivalry." How could any FCS school be a rival of a FBS school?

Someone tell FJ that as FBS youre going to play an FCS and oh yeah, the closer they are the less you pay...

The only reason we scheduled Southern Utah was because the Sun Belt was too chickenshit to sue MTSU and FAU for leaving a year early. We never scheduled Gardiner Webb.

I am sorry, I am failing to see your point. We play Kennesaw State in 4 years and that means what exactly? How is this any more meaningful than playing Abilene Christian?

For starters, why would they sue when they could have flat out said "no you can't leave early."? We asked how we could reach some sort of agreement to allow us to exit a year early and the financial terms were agreed upon.

Regarding Gardner Webb, I'd notify this website:

http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/sun-belt...aguars.php

As they seem to be under the impression you're opening with them in 2015...

I stand corrected. We are playing them in 2015. Hopefully we wont pull an Austin Peay.

I was a proponent of making MTSU and FAU play in the Belt an extra 'lame duck year'.
