I am truly amazed at how many pages of GSU-bashing I had to wade through to go back and find a genuine piece of smack-talk from a GSU fan....and when I found it, I was amazed at how innocuous it was.

You were horrible in your first season and you've gotten steadily worse since. You got beat by every team you played last year, including the FCS squads. You have no fan base, you have no tradition, you play in an empty, cavernous stadium you don't own and you drop money to encourage students to show up (which they don't).
You got your precious FBS invite based on one thing and it's because you're located in Atlanta. That's it.
You are a ridiculous admixture of sad, embarrassing and hilarious.
Before you run your mouths, try rising above being the undisputed worst FBS team in the country. Try winning a freaking game.
Love,
Hueso de Jamón
Wow....created an account just for that. I'm honored.
....oh, and there is plenty of dispute as to who the worst FBS team is. However, I guess we will get a better idea now that NMSU and Idaho are in the Sun Belt.

I for one hope they beat everyone they play, except us, especially their OOC games. That's what will do more for the SB and GS, and that will make this potential rivalry more fun in the future.
Thank you, it is getting very tiresome to keep reading the same crap over and over. The State guys on this board seem to be reasonable, rational folks and are very aware of the problems their program has had. Additionally, we've never played each other so the only comments we can make to each other are about the institutions themselves... IMO, anything insulting a school/academics directly is below the belt for a sports board.
To reiterate what boroeagle said, we all need Georgia State to be good.
The disdain for Ga State is primarily because of the way they arrived on the scene in 2010 with arrogance, bravado, and contempt towards Southern. If you read posts from some of their supporters (saintdik and others that no longer post) on our board in 2010 you would think they would have an SEC invite by now and playing a home and home with UGA. They showed a complete lack of respect for our traditions and history and claims of passing us by were everywhere. Their lack of success has quieted the masses and created a heavy dose of humility but if they beat us this year the true colors will come out. All 12 fans will crow for an eternity. I do write this with the awareness that GS has one of the most arrogant fan bases in the country - but when you win over 75% of your games it breeds arrogance. So there, the GSU posters on here are probably good guys but I still hate Ga State and wish them nothing but misery on the football field. I will always root against them. Contrast that with App, who I root for when they are not playing us because I respect their program. But when we play them I hate everything black and gold and black saturday makes me want to puke.

I haven't been on this board very long, and though I was on the GS board in 2010, I don't remember seeing the brashness and assholery of Ga St. fans back then. I do see weekly, if not daily, posts about Gast being 0-12 and having sucky attendance nowadays though. I'm just ready to see it come to a head on the field in 2 months so we have more to talk about than just this same refrain.

Seriously? That's just rude dude. I'm pretty sure he knows the difference. But this is not an academic board so don't be a "word nerd" - pay attention to what he meant and don't focus on the wrong part of the post.
They guy was offering to give you (us) a drink. Dang it my Eagle Brother - the guy was offering hospitality.
I'll try and stop bye ( :) ) for a drink. But I'm not sure I can afford to "buy" your tailgate. Still trying to pay for mine.
Anywhere I can park a trailer at the Dome? Been there before with it, but cant remember where it was. Probably that gulch area somebody posted.

Yea, I saw both corrections - I just hate when these boards turn into English class. No harm no foul, it was mild. It was just that it came on a post where he was extending a kind gesture - it was more the timing of the correction than the actual correction. But I did see what you were doing, wasn't trying to jump on you for it. - My apologies.
Lets all have a - one way or the other in this game - One side is going to need it and the other is just going to do it anyway.
