Gotta stop on 3rd down. On this 1st series, 3 for 3 for VT on that including a 3rd and 12. Now on the Tribe 12 with 3rd and 10

We have to play a flawless game to compete. So far, way too many miscues and inconsistency. Typical for a 1st game, but still makes it difficult to succeed.

Good hold inside the 5 (we are very strong there). 17-6 with 38 seconds to go. Tech to get the ball in the 2nd. We are doing ok but need to do the little things better.

VT defense too fast. Close on every throw and are in the QB's face. I am happy with the way we are moving the ball, Cluley should be fine.

That running into the kicker by Green was a killer. Love Green, but that and not stopping that TD pass he could've knocked away or picked are huge plays.

Agreed. He did get the INT though so not all bad.

Nova performed the best so far losing 27-26 in 2OT to Syracuse when the Nova kicker missed a 25 yard FG in regulation to win it.

Speaking of kickers, our kicking & punting has looked impressive. Save for the running into the punter, special teams in general has impressed.

One thing for sure, green has been extremely involved today.

Freshman sight... Dedmon. Heck of a play by the Tech corner to prevent that TD.

New punter looks great. Tech too fast on defense, from the D-line to the DB's. On the upside, we will not face a defense like that again
