What's with all the hostility? Is the 'attitude' of GS fans on here, or just that you want to be 2-0 against the Eagles? That playoff game left a bad taste in a lot of GS fans mouths and TxSt is pretty much blamed for all the horrors we had to endure afterwards.

Well, GaState would have to get up off it's face before it has any distance to fall, so that rules them out.

App State fell on their face last year (but still managed to put a game together and beat us )

So that leaves ULL and Ark St, that way Southern has a shot at the SBC Crown with out having to hear about how we didn't play "the two best teams".

From someone that not only followed FCS, I was at that game.
GaSo had every right to be confident going into that game, even cocky; going against an upstart, flash in the pan team but there was absolutely no respect for what that TXST team had done that year.
Eagle fans were nasty, rude, arrogant and down right ugly towards TXST fans. There is a line between supporting your team and what I heard from the visitor's that day.
While I will support GS in everything they do in the SBC I will also never forget how they treated us, in our house, in 2005.
Maybe some of you were there and didn't do some of the stuff I heard/endured; until it became the Barrick Nealy show, but I want this win so bad I can taste it.

That said, our current players weren't around either (this year's seniors would have been in 6th or 7th grade?) but they know that GaSo wants this game and are working to follow in their 2005 teams' footsteps.

We get enough crap from TX teams (especially UH) We don't need to go out of state for it.

Yeah, I have to pull against ULM, UL-L, and USA for the same reasons. We do seem to be competing against USA for recruits more and more these days.
