Makes sense. Divide and conquer. Weaken the competition by spreading out money they get and the results they produce.
The combined best players of UL-Monroe , LaTech, and Grambling over the years at one school would have been huge competition for LSU.

It's bad in North Carolina, but no where that bad.
What gets us is how Teflon UNC-Chapel Hill is.
No matter what they do they get away with it.
There was an article published several years ago that
basically said that the mafia runs their athletics. Many
laughed at it, but most have stopped laughing.
