#1 Weeknight games in November can only be on ESPN/2/U...NOT ESPN3.com. The whole point of screwing the Alum fanbase is for the national TV coverage...no real TV then no weeknight MACtion. The day after Thanksgiving game is not included. Most November Tues/Wed nights show either NBA or MAC football. Most of those nights show that MAC football gets the same if not better ratings than the NBA game...even if its on the less available channel. Even if the game is crap its absolutely unacceptable for us to accept a weeknight game to be pushed to ESPN3.com where only MAC diehards will view it.
#2 The MAC "games of the week" coverage increased. I feel these games are greatly undervalued in the MAC fans eye. They are shown in the MAC's footprint and FL. Expand that footprint into PA/WV/KY/MO/IA/WI/NJ/CT and even AL/GA/TX to try and increase the viewers of MAC football for that 11am CT time slot. Help increase exposure for recruiting in hotbed and neighboring states.
#3 After those two the last focus should be money. It doesn't pay to get 1mil per school if less than 1/2 the people see our games...including recruits.
We're never going to succeed with #1 as long as our very own Director of Communications believes ESPN3=TV. I've brought this to his attention more than once and his response has been- "I can watch espn3.com on my TV so its TV". I responded by explaining that no, your TV is the viewing device, the signal is sent via the internet, not by a TV cable or satellite provider, which is what we mean when we say "TV".
His response to that was "we'll have to agree to disagree". No we won't! It's not an opinion, its a fact!! The problem is not with ESPN, its with MAC HQ.
That's frustrating. What the heck is with that guy? Is he a Big 10 grad?
worse, Bowling Green.

The same guy who loves to talk about Cleveland and the Clowns and the Indians and the Cavs and his fiance and his wedding and (attempting to) name drop...and finally the MAC.

as Director of Communications his primary responsibility is to share with the public relevant information regarding the MAC through various forms of communication, including Twitter. With over 5,300 followers he has the largest following, by far, of any FBS conference DoC I could find.
https://twitter.com/JGuyMAC
I'm not expecting him to be a robot, Twitter is personal and informal by nature and I wouldn't have an issue with personal thoughts and opinions being shared occasionally, but when 20 of your last 25 tweets aren't about the MAC its too much. He has a personal account that is separate from this one, he should use it accordingly.
