I knew we were in trouble
when I watched the "pregame speech" by Josh. You could tell, the players have no respect for their coach. No one was paying him any attention.
That sight gave me the feeling that we will be in for a long tight..

I have to admit that I cringed when I saw/heard that.

Given the underwhelming speech, our guys actually came and played hard to start the game; however, after we missed bunny after bunny, our guys lost focus.

I feel like some of Y'all are piling on.

I agree with one of the previous threads that said many of the locker room recorded talks have been bland and unimpressive (from all coaches).

JP needs to find a pregame speech that prevents little but holes from tightening up.

No...it was really bad...i was embarrassed for him...and program...it rivaled the Louisville game in 2nd year when you beg stan Simpson to play hard and used "I love you" in his coaching...

He should have said "carry three things with you and we will win this game. God, family, and the Green Bay Packers"

More telling than the words of the speech was the players reactions. Couldn't care less, barely even paying attention

Why would you say that? My junior college basketball coach would throw players out of practice for not constantly keeping eye contact with him. He was also a legend in the California Juco system. Went to 4 State final games, never did win the big one. I think it is a very reasonable assumption / inference to come to the conclusion that the players do not have a healthy level of respect for their coach based on the fact they are not looking at him during a pre game speech in the largest game of their collegiate careers. Also it is very reflective as to the lack of motivational skills he possesses.

Wasn't that actually Adonis. I am actually positive and couldn't believe what I heard. He asked him to play tougher. You teach kids to play hard and tough during practice and guess what happens in the games.

I wouldn't read too much into that pregame speech. That locker room looked much the same as many others. Players prep mentally in their own way. They don't need to be staring at the coach and pounding their fist into a locker to prove they're ready to play.

Just curious. Was there a post-game interview and what did he say? I'm assuming there was a presser. Not sure if our crack announcer interviewed him.

"I've been to the sweet 16 ...as a videographaer" was probably one of the most painful things that I've ever heard.

What kind of monkey?

I don't think you meant the little Owl monkey or the common Tamarin. So it comes down to the White Faced Capuchin or the Howler. Since calling anyone a White Faced Capuchin could seem racist and non politically correct - I am gonna go with Howler monkey. Howlers make a lot of noise and do the same irritating screech a lot. Over and over, its loud irritating screech after screech. Its so common that most other animals in the forest just tune them out. Sort of sounds like a lot of folks on here. Not to sure about their IQ though.
