RE: I knew we were in trouble
A huge pep talk before an NCAA Tournament game shouldn't be necessary.

All of the pregame speeches that they have been showing with the glasses recording have been bad. I feel likle they have been recording the coaches going throuhg the locker room as the players were getting ready, not so much their final big talk where they dicuss strategy (for good reason)... I wouldn't look too much into this

They tune him out and it shows in nearly every facet of the game. I just wonder how much longer he'll keep getting good players. U of M is quickly becoming known as the place where good talent comes to stagnate and regress.

So much has been made of this speech. I haven't seen it, and I've looked online and can't find it. Did someone record it who may be able to help share?

That sight gave me the feeling that we will be in for a long tight..

I knew you have the IQ of a south american monkey when I read your post.

The depth of your contribution is overwhelming.....

Only in the mind of naive, GD fools. But that is about half of the audience at MT.org.

I like Pastner - really do. I don't want him fired.

But if you didn't cringe when the head coach of our program talked about "going to the sweet 16 as a videographer" while his players looked completely tuned-out and disinterested then you are as much of a zealot as the "fire pastner now" crowd.

The guy has become the punch line of a joke. A very bad joke. I don't want our program to be next. It's not, at this point, but until things change we run the risk of following that lead. I really don't want that. It could certainly hurt recruiting as well and I don't want Pastner to leave us with that type of moniker. It's so obvious and needs immediate attention.

To an MT.org audience of about 50 clowns.

Sorry man, but what I said is reality. It just is. To those, like you, who don't believe that, fine, we'll simply have a difference of opinion.

The table of UTK sitting next to my group last night at the bar would have begged to differ. They laughed a good bit at Pastner's pre-game speech and even the hardened tiger fans around us shook their heads or made a non-assuming comment.

Is Pastner a friend of yours? Family? I like the guy too but you seem to have it as your personal mission to defend him.

I'm not bashing you, just genuinely curious

I'm not on the fire Josh bandwagon, but I have to admit that I cringed. My 9-year-old son even said , "Dad, the players aren't paying attention to him." The halftime interview in the UCONN blowout was similarly disconcerting.

No, he didn't. But it makes your point look a bit better, so I understand why you'd say he said that.

Um, yeah, he did. But thanks anyway for telling me what my son did and didn't say.

" Common guys! The sweet 16 is awesome! You will LOVE it! I had so much fun as an assistant coach and videographer. Fun! Fun! Lets go! Yay team!!!" And the worst part is the whole nation saw it.

LMAO
