That is the first time I've seen CTM speak/do an interview, and I can see why you guys are so high on him. Seems like a great coach. Like Sleepy said, for your sake, I hope he sticks around for you guys and doesn't jump ship after your first 5+ win season.

I agree, that coach seems to be extremely level headed, well seasoned, and most importantly very patient. I think he is going to be the guy that works wonders for geo state.

RE: 2014 SBC Spring Practice Thread
(Every spring practice thread on our board... every year)

Fan #1: Did you see that highlight video? It seemed like every play was a called pass, they were even out of the shotgun.
Fan #2: I TOLD you FRITZ wasn't going to run a triple option, we're going to be awful.
Fan #1: Fritz is probably just trying to boost his resume so he can go coach somewhere else.
Fan #3: You guys are idiots, our offense will look nothing like that in the fall.
Fan #4: I saw (insert 5th string QB's name) taking a lot snaps in those clips, I wonder if he's competing for the starting job.

Gosh I can't wait for spring practice haha

For the past few years, that's been the case. Monken and staff have been doing a lot of experimenting in the spring to try and stretch the playbook. Some of it stuck in the fall, some of it didn't work out, some of it was never seen.

This spring I expect us to practice a lot of what we'll be using in the fall since it's an entirely new playbook for the players and coaches.

Gotta love it. All it takes is 13 seconds of highlight tape or one non expert on the sideline and an available internet connection.
