Bama fans are a lot like what ASU deals with Razorback fans. The vast majority are uneducated, or got their education at another in state school because they didn't have the grades to get into Arkansas. The graduates of the school are far easier to get along with than the rest of the fan base.

Grades is not an issue at bama they are not selective.

I am going to have to check you. I have several family members who are Alabama and Auburn alumni that were national merit scholars on full ride academic scholarships. All of which have distinguish careers. Other than that, yes there are many fans who have never entered a classroom at Alabama or Auburn.

He didn't say all the students are dumb just UAT is open to anyone with the ability to pay. Auburn doesn't have an open door policy and to my knowledge UAT is the only university in Alabama with an open door policy. The quest for 50,000 marches on.

I attended neither UA or AU. But AU, at least the last time I checked, had much higher scores and qualifications of its entering class.

I have equal disdain for them. I can't stand Satan for what he did to the Dolphins.

As for USA, I'm sure there are just as many "Roll Tide and "WDE" cheers there as anywhere else in Alabama. Plus, in Mobile, USA has to compete with some FSU and USM fans.

Very few FSU and USM fans in Mobile. You'd think they'd be more, but really not the case.

Auburn is the more rotten.

You obviously never listened to Chuck Floyd or you must be an Updike.

Yep. The people in this thread with other allegiances aren't trying to hide it very well.

I'm not hiding my allegiance to Auburn. But I would root for USA if they played them. There's nothing wrong with that either.

Having grown up in Alabama, I do know that the Auburn fans have a better grip on things. You never see them out killing trees, killing people, or jumping over bleachers to kick fans of another team. I am a huge Saban fan, but I do miss the days of those redneck walmart fans having to worry every weekend about the games outcome.

Yes, some 'Bama fans do those things, but the Auburn fanbase can get very obnoxious at times too. I can't stand Auburn's BOT, other than Raines who has been their one ray of light, because they are extremely crooked and love to micromanage, IMO. I have some good friends in real life that are Auburn fans, so I don't hate Auburn too much. Just a little.

RE: Troy, USA and Jax State fans
I'm a transplant -- lived in Alabama since 1994 so I have no allegiance to any schools in Alabama other than USA where I've taken just a couple of classes over the years. I can't stand Alabama mostly because of their Mobile fans and Auburn fans seem to be a tad bit more classy in general.

As far as the SEC goes, I root for Texas A&M because my dad played there one year after the "Junction Boys" for Bear Bryant and he was a backup to Gene Stallings.

In other words, I *ONLY* root for South Alabama (as far as Alabama schools go) and TA&M in the SEC. Aside from those two schools, I root for the G5 over *ALL* the P5's.
