I have a tendency to overstate things, but I expect much more out of ASU and will not just settle for where we are. I want to be a consistent threat to bust the BCS. My worry is that our fans are sometimes content with simply winning a few games.

I have a tremendous problem sometimes with ASU fans leaving, but not the same as yours.
Really ticks me off when a couple of extra feet of snow and ice on them and they just pop up and go home.

5 sure fire ways to keep ASU fans away from a game

1. Cold Weather
2. Wind
3. TV Game
4. Rain
5. Deer Season

RE: ASU fans drive me insane
So you are dealing with three elements of weather, TV games and Deer Season.
Guess you could sell tarps, and show the other games on the big boards, along with deer hunting programs.
But realistically they might DVD the other games, but deer season is too hard to overcome.
Other than a federal wide week-end ban on hunting we all have to deal with it, because they would probably just go
to another state to hunt.

Something only about 120 or so other towns in the United States can claim. Even better...we have a winning football team, something far fewer towns can claim.

Yet, when the most critical game of the season came along, when a win would lock up bowl eligibility, and give us the inside track to our 3rd straight bowl game, a cloudy day with a few sprinkles drives everyone away.

I don't flipping care that it was on TV. I don't flipping care that you are cold...I don't flipping care that you are wet. You decided to bring yourself to the game. THAT MEANS YOU DO NOT LEAVE EARLY!

It is a freaking ASU tradition. Fans show up 15 minutes late, then leave at half. Today, in a television game, in front of two groups of bowl officials, our fans put on one of the most embarrassing crowd performances I have seen at ASU. I know we announced 23K, but there were maybe 20,000 people there.

And the worse part. At halftime it started sprinkling a little bit, and almost instantly I watched large sections of fans start emptying out. Nevermind the rain...it was freaking halftime of a flipping tie game, and you go home?!?!

What on earth in Jonesboro is there to do that is so earth shattering you have to miss the last half the football game for it? That was lame, pathetic, and should not be tolerated. We are a flipping FBS football program that has won 26 games in the last three flipping years! ACT LIKE IT!

If you are only going to come and stay for a half, give your tickets to someone who will come for the entire game. We don't need your support. Go cheer for Eastern Michigan...I hear they need fans.

Are you sure you are not talking about Bowling Green, KY?...Sounds identical to our fans...

meh. LSU fans have been leaving at half. Saban had to make a press release and get university policy changed. Attendance is becoming a problem everywhere, its just more noticeable at smaller schools because of the smaller pool to draw from, imo.
