It is true that Louisville and West Va will make you some money.

We bring more to the table than UH has ever brought... not to mention the amount of money UC adds thanks to the basketball program.

If it weren't for UC basketball C-USA wouldn't have had any kind of decent TV deal in the 90s, so who was sucking the tit of UC back then? Oh yeah, Houston....

Why wouldn't we? UC is the reason C-USA got any money back then, and also a large reason why the conference got a better football TV deal.

At least UC can say it brings real value to a TV deal, something Houston can't say.

The BCS money will not help you any bearcrap. Cincinnati football will always be the same, totally uneventful.

Which puts it at the same level or better than Houston football... and we have a real basketball program to follow. Houston has nothing... enjoy following a crappy athletic department that is not going anywhere...

As far as UC football goes, you never know what can happen when you have an administration committed to winning. Louisville did it, there is no reason why UC can't do it now in the Big East.

Cincy beat WVU in football in 2003

They will be improved this fall.

The BEast needs to win their OOC games.

Ranked behind the Pac-10(USC and who?)...that's a freaking joke.

Big 12 ..OU, Texas and who ?

ACC...7-4 for a BCS team...lol

Big10...OSU, Mich and who ?

SEC...they should be first

TopBoob, many of our games with Houston were uneventful.

The Big 10 is loaded, actually. All except Illinois and IU can really play some football. Even Northwestern is cooking up. The SEC is great, but we can compete with anyone else and should be up with the Pac-10.

You shouldve stopped when you got to the ACC

"Big10...OSU, Mich and who ?"

HA

Iowa and Penn State would rape the rest of the Big East (no WVU/'Ville)

Minnesota, Wisconsin, Purdue and Michigan State would also handle the rest

Northwestern is never too shabby

Illinois has had some very good years

and Indiana is on the rise with Terry Hoeppner at the helm (I'll go ahead and say they make a bowl next year)

2005 season....
Iowa 3....Iowa St 23
Purdue 5-6
MSU 5-6 (2004 lost to Rutgers)
Indiana 4-7
Illinois 2-9

That was 2005, 2006 as a conference they win less...

USF couldn't win C-USA when they were in it. Rutgers could not win C-USA. The Big East is a better conference than C-USA, but don't be absurd.

FYI...USF was in CUSA Football for 2 years...'03 & '04.

2003 CUSA Record 5-3 (7-4 overall)

2004 CUSA Record 3-5 (4-7 overall)

USF finished with a 8-8 record in CUSA during their 2 years of Football Membership. (FYI...CUSA blew it when it delayed USF's Football Membership for 2 years...and got stuck at 11 Football Members...and couldn't enjoy the benefit of Division races or a CUSA Champ Game. Old Commish blew it in the beginning).

USF would have likely won CUSA in 2002, when we were first denied admission into the league. Instead we were thrown a bone and given 4 CDOA games which the Bulls easily swept including Southern Miss. The general sentiment was that they didn't want a USF coming in with a upperclassman heavy team and winning the conference.

BTW...CUSA old commish, Mike Slive was a great comissioner. He had vision and the rare skill to build a consensus among the scattered league's presidents. CUSA really showed the leadership void he created when he went to the SEC, during realignment.

What a stupid comment, but that's par for the course when you're involved.

Cincy won CDOA....something Memphis never did in the old configuration. shut your yap...

Winning ten games in a league ranked just ahead of the sun belt certainly isn't a tall order.

I think most USF fans would agree that the 2002 Team was the best all-around team at USF. Obviously, it was the best offensive team USF probably ever had...mostly because of Blackwell...a very, very good QB in USF's system.

Again...some new Big East members and former CUSA members would never consider Slive to of been a "great" comissioner...as he lead the "delay" on USF and TCU's Football Membership and didn't have the foresight to see the positives of a Champ Football Game.

I'm sure after watching some of his SEC Champ Games in ATL...he probably has a different view now on the positives of a 12 Team Football Conferences...vs an 11 Team Football Conference...which left many just shaking their head.

The facts are that for a conference without a BCS slot its not a good idea to have that championship game because its an extra hurdle that could cost your league 13-14 million. You will see the crying against it if it ever happens that a 12-0 CUSA team loses the Championship game to a 8-4 school and doesnt get that BCS Bowl.

Are you joking? UConn and Wisky will end IU's season before midseason. They have zero chance of a bowl game, and neither does Illinois. Michigan was exposed by Nebraska anyway.

Whine, whine, whine, b*tch, b*tch, b*tch. Congratulations on finally having a good season after we got the h*ll out of town. And how funny is it about Houston fans ripping someone's accomplishments on the field!? Last I checked you weren't freaking Notre Dame or USC.

We have gone to 5 bowl games in the last 8 years, all in C-USA, and won a C-USA title. What have you done again? And I'm talking football.
