I think we are definitely in the NOB unless we just self destruct especially if Tulane is a candidate. This is not a knock on any other SBC team but from a financial stand point for the bowl game this would be a dream come true. We control our own destiny just got to keep on winning. Its easy to over look NMST as fans because we are more consumed with the SBC Championship and Troy and ULM are playing well and are old members with a history with us. This is new territory for us but it a long way to go.

I think the NO bowl has to take the SBC champ this year.

There is no longer the 2/4 rule. The NO Bowl can take any team that it wants that is bowl eligible from the SBC.

If Troy gets bowl eligible I'll bet the godaddy bowl would grab us up over any other conference team not named south alabama.

I don't think Larry was thinking anything about Louisiana at that moment, he had fans to rally for our VERY important Thursday night game.

If your team needs this Blakeney quote to get fired up for Troy coming to town, ya'll have more problems than anyone else in the League.

Its irrelevant as to what Blakeney's intentions were in his tweet, all that matters is how the UL players took it. If the Cajuns come out with the same edge as they did against WKU and ASU, then Blakeney will be in for a similar beat down like his last visit to Cajun Field.

And if you believe that locker room material doesn't give a competitor more edge, then you haven't listened to many College and NFL coaches or players over the years.
