I am glad we won, glad we were on national TV last night, but I still do not like Tuesday night games.

I know, free exposure and a chance to shine in front of a national audience, but college football is a weekend sport.

The National Exposure is not that big of a deal when you realize once the game was over...Sportscenter...a show that is an hour long recap of what happened in sports that very night only had two clips of our game and it was only on the top 10 plays. No recap or mention of the score beyond those two clips. It's not like anything else other than early season hockey and preseason NBA was going on...and still nothing. But they completely ignore the fact that the game even happened. Their own network is only showing one football game that night...and they don't even mention it. That right there negates any national exposure we got by showing us how much it didn't matter. I bet Fox Sports 1 would have us on their nightly clip show if we were the only game that just played on their network...and they would call us Louisiana...FESPN.

Yep. I live 20 minutes away from San Marcos and I'm not sure if I would go to a Tuesday night game for those same reasons. Of if I do go its because we are leaving at 9:00 PM regardless of how the game is going.

In general, I am not a fan of mid-week games (Thursday games are a possible exception, as then it can be made into a long weekend). But it's a) national TV, and b) doesn't seem they had trouble drawing a crowd.

But for me, I won't be attending a mid-week game (hell, I barely have time to make weekend games). Question my fandom all you like, but it's a recreation for me, not a "calling".

So personal opinion is "yuck", but objectively (and from a business standpoint) it makes sense, particularly when the team is doing well.

Where did I say anything about the game last week or degrade ULL? can you read or do you need help? Reading Comprehension definitely not your strong suit? I agree about the other comments on how ESPN slaps around the SB like its a Div. II game..I will say unlike the ESPN U THursday night games at least when they cut to Halftime they spend a minute talking about the game at hand, that is way more than how ESPN U treats the Thursday night contests....
