Isn't it obvious? PJ needed an excuse to do throwback helmets.

Click on "Mid-American," scroll down to ours.

That proves it -- Miami has always had the least imaginative helmets in the MAC.

We must have the largest helmet budget in the country.

RE: "Throwback" helmets for homecomming
When we played Central for what was essentially the MAC championship the last game of the 1980 season they painted that bucking bronco on the 50 and it was the worst paint job ever. It dried hard and was on top of hard turf. We slipped all over the place on that stupid thing. Probably why we lost. Interesting that at that time there really wasn't a bronco as part of our uniform. Just the block W.

Actually they have a lot of tradition and don't feel the need to reinvent themselves every so often.

Why don't you come support the team ? You never know some of them might come watch your standup comedy routine.

Opps I forgot you might be the only who who appreciates your humor. Sorry to be negative but it's way to easy to pick on someone when they are down. Try supporting them and see what might improve. Just one old broncos view. Hope to hear you cheering them on Saturday.

THE 88 TEAM WAS HONORED AT HALF TIME TWO WEEKS AGO.

they were, but why not do it again like this? Just seems like an odd year to honor '66 again, since we just did it 2 years ago.

It's PJ reaching out to former players and coaches, honoring our history and tradition.

It is awkward to do it (again) this year. But he won't be around to do it in 2016.

It's a good move in a sea change year. You want to connect the new to the old,

Looks like what the sidewalk looks like outside a college house party where they're drinking cranberry juice.
