RE: MAC Rankings
Ball State has to play us at home, where we currently have a 22-game winning streak. I give them a 30% chance.
North Texas just lost to Tulane...TULANE!

Toledo is better than BGSU...I think UB can beat Ohio. I think Toledo has a better shot of beating us than BSU, just cause we play Toledo there and have BSU at home.

Toledo- where losing counts more than winning.
UT is 3-3 with wins over an FCS team and 2 directionals with a combined record of 2-10. But yeah, let's put them over teams that are 4-1 and 5-1. Sure. makes sense.

I'm glad you look at the record. Alabama = NIU.
Moron. BG got murdered by 32 by Indiana, their only real test. Sorry that was pretty pathetic. OU looks to be good but they didn't show up to Louisville either...yes they are a very good team I know.
UT has a tough schedule....2 SEC teams and a loss to BSU who coul dvery well be the best MAC team. We do not know yet.

RE: MAC Rankings
so losing to a top 10 team, AND and unranked SEC team AND a team that lost to North Texas is more impressive than just losing to a top 10 team and beating North Texas?
the question isn't 'is Toledo good?', it's 'is Toledo better than these other teams?'.

I don't know P, I have been wrong before. Just how i feel at this point about the MAC teams. Its my opinion and I have a right to have one just as you do.

You are *really* upset about the North Texas thing aren't you? You keep going back to that one.
Ball State did beat a BCS team on the road so maybe we can find a new argument.

This is about how I have it. The only change I'd make is that in the bottom I'd have CMU at 8 by themselves and then Akron EMU at 9.
That's not so much a vote that CMU is good, as I think we're a bad football team, but the only thing Enos has shown while at CMU is that he will beat the worst teams in the MAC, and the worst teams in the MAC this year are atrocious. CMU is sort of in purgatory, they're better than the terrible teams, but a long ways from being competitive with the teams above them.

Outside of my CMU bias, I do think it is fair to put CMU alone. EMU squeaked by a bad FCS team and Akron is a bad team. Great game against UM but they will have a tough time winning more than 2 more games.

toledo may prove to be that good, but at this point it makes no sense. They've yet to prove anything.

I'm sure you'd love a new argument, but in the end, Ball St lost to UNT. That's the fact for this season.

Actually, I don't give a rats hind end. Rankings are one man's opinion. It just seems the poster is losing a lot of sleep over it.

RE: MAC Rankings
Toledo has a bye then Navy who is a good team, then Toledo plays BG on the road and they have a bye before us. If Toledo wins that those will be convincingly the number 3.
Note after 7 weeks Toledo will have played only two teams out of the top 100. (Mizzou is averaging 44ppg and is 5-0) CMU and WMU have to play Toledo, God forbid they are on the schedule between two SEC schools and A good MAC west team. EWU is still ranked 6th in FCS (losses to SHS ranked #2 in FCS, and Toledo- Win vs. Oregon State)

RE: MAC Rankings
The bottom of the MAC this year is very deep and very weak. You would think that would be bad for the league, but maybe not. It might play out well for the other 7 schools, lots of teams with impressive w/l records when bowl bids go out.
